bassangler Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Anyone know what's causing this and how to fix it?
Jim M Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 In those errors, it looks like the community map is being loaded. I would try disabling that to see if anything gets resolved with that. Otherwise, you will want to review your server errors logs for any upload errors.
bassangler Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 Not sure how you came to that conclusion. Nothing in the errors mentions community map. Example: DomainException::0 #0 /system/Helpers/Form/Upload.php(748): IPS\_File::createFromUploads('core_Attachment', NULL, Array, 1.46484375, 0.14474964141846, 0, Object(Closure), NULL, true) #1 /system/Helpers/Form/Upload.php(305): IPS\Helpers\Form\_Upload->processUploads() #2 /system/Helpers/Form/Editor.php(716): IPS\Helpers\Form\_Upload->__construct('topic_comment_1...', Array, false, Array) #3 /system/Helpers/Form/Editor.php(176): IPS\Helpers\Form\_Editor->getUploader('topic_comment_1...') #4 /system/Content/Item.php(4745): IPS\Helpers\Form\_Editor->__construct('topic_comment_1...', NULL, true, Array, Object(Closure)) #5 /system/Content/Item.php(4535): IPS\Content\_Item->commentFormElements() #6 /uploads/template_26_7a734b11232065691bc1176040cb26ad_topics.php(5188): IPS\Content\_Item->commentForm() #7 /system/Theme/SandboxedTemplate.php(61): IPS\Theme\Cache\class_forums_front_topics->topic(Object(IPS\forums\Topic), Array, NULL, Array, true, '\n\n\n\t\n\t<ul class...', Array) #8 /applications/forums/modules/front/forums/topic.php(553): IPS\Theme\_SandboxedTemplate->__call('topic', Array) #9 /system/Dispatcher/Controller.php(101): IPS\forums\modules\front\forums\_topic->manage() #10 /system/Content/Controller.php(50): IPS\Dispatcher\_Controller->execute() #11 /applications/forums/modules/front/forums/topic.php(39): IPS\Content\_Controller->execute() #12 /system/Dispatcher/Dispatcher.php(153): IPS\forums\modules\front\forums\_topic->execute() #13 /index.php(13): IPS\_Dispatcher->run() #14 {main}
bassangler Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 fyi, I disabled Community Maps and error still persists.
Marc Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 It seems the topic was missed here for some reason. I can only apologise for that. Taking a look for you now Edit: Please could you get a few of the files that are failing from the members, zip them and send them over? We can then get this looked into. This would usually happen when there is an issue with the file, but as its happening a fair bit, there has to be something more going on there
Management Matt Posted March 18, 2022 Management Posted March 18, 2022 I've just taken a look at the code, and the following issues throw that error: The upload only partially finished No file was uploaded The tmp file doesn't exist The tmp file is not an uploaded file (see https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.is-uploaded-file.php) It all points to a hosting issue.
Emediate Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 Interestingly, this error also started randomly appearing on my forum too within the last fortnight. Not enough for me to justify help from Support yet, but this thread just caught my attention.
bassangler Posted March 18, 2022 Author Posted March 18, 2022 Host provider said it's a problem with the script, and they closed my ticket.
Marc Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 Have you passed them the information from my colleague above?
bassangler Posted March 19, 2022 Author Posted March 19, 2022 Yup. Unless you can provide specific, hard evidence it's absolutely the server beyond a doubt, they will blame the forum code every time. Literally providing the exact fix usually helps.

We are unable to diagnose on your server what is causing those server issues unfortunately. That would be for your hosting company to do. Im not sure what we can suggest other than finding a new hosting company, if you have hosting support who are unable to provide you with that support.
bassangler Posted March 23, 2022 Author Posted March 23, 2022 Cool. Both sides pointing fingers at each other, confident the other side is at fault. Neat.
Marc Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 Very much understand your frustration there. Sorry there is little else we can really do to assist on this. Have you considered cloud hosting at all? This way you would never have the back and forth as we deal with both sides of it
