_Vault_ Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 By which criteria are the posted images chosen in the "Topic Summary" in 4.5?
Daniel F Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 It just fetches any attached images posted in the topic
_Vault_ Posted October 5, 2020 Author Posted October 5, 2020 And if there are 50 images posted. Which would be shown in the sidebar widget?
bfarber Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 No explicit ordering is used but generally it will be the first 4 from the topic. _Vault_ 1

_Vault_ Posted October 10, 2020 Author Posted October 10, 2020 It should be images that got most likes, or were posted on most popular days or something. Some images shown are very random. Interferon and crmarks 2
bfarber Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 The resources needed to do that would be significantly higher. We are doing something like "get us 4 images from this topic". To do what you are suggesting first requires fetching all the images, then loading the posts, comparing, and pulling the "top" images, or alternatively looping through "top" posts and pulling images until we get the number we need and stopping. Either way....I don't think that's going to work efficiently for most sites, let alone larger sites.
