Club Friendly URLs

Is there any way to configure friendly URLs for clubs? 187-board-games-community is not as sleek or attractive as just board-games-community for example.

Do you honestly have users on your forum that are bothered about the "187" in the URL? Leave it alone, please.

The software is not made to have a URL without a unique identifier, which in the case of almost all items is a numeric ID.

The entire suite, excluding Clubs, has friendly URL options. I can give custom URLs to topics, to entries in a database, to images in a gallery, etc. I can edit built-in URLs in the advanced config area of the ACP. If the rest of the suite has friendly URL capability, why would Clubs not?

I understand it's not too big of a deal, and I understand the utility of the unique identifier (if there are two topics or other content items with the same name, etc., prevents issues) -- but FURLs are a priority for me. Because I am building out my site and its content before launching it, I can make sure that it's really top notch and that every little detail like this is attended to.

Really? How?

Then I'd suggest you focus on what matters, the content. Neither spiders or your users will lift an eyebrow if there is a "random" number in the URL.

Never tried the club feature. Someone cares to share a demo link? 🙂
