Moving IPS from folder to root

I am moving my IPS from a subfolder to the root and I wonder if there are any considerations to consider before making the move?

I figure I'll do this:

1. Change the url settings in IPS to root
2. Move all files and folders to root
3. Update the license to root instead of folder
4. Pray that it works?

5. Clear cache from the ACP
6. Check URL-forwarding and set up servers-side forwarding where necessary
