August 9, 20195 yr Author Since the pdf is something standardized file as image, why IPS don't want to add this support inside the core? Don't you believe this bring more value to our forums use scenes?
August 9, 20195 yr Community Expert Personally, I rather download a PDF and look at it full screen in a native PDF reader than trying to scroll through the tiny pages embedded in another page (the website). The latter means really bad usability. Edited August 9, 20195 yr by opentype
August 9, 20195 yr Author It can't work as image, after embed it show thumbnail in the post, click it show it with pop-up?
August 9, 20195 yr You can't generate a thumbnail of a PDF with a run of the mill hosting environment using GD without third party libraries. PDFs aren't images.
August 9, 20195 yr PDF embeds are also problematic in some browsers, notably IE 11. If you really wanted to add such a feature, I would look into PDFObject or PDF.js.
