GDPR/RODO - why two most important features still mising?

Hello

I spend long day today clearing this out with my lawyer who is GDPR specialist and there is one basic feature what is "must be" still missing:

#1. During registration person must have option to confirm two check boxes. First of it if he allow marketing (and this one can be checked or not checked - it say if we can or not send him commercial emails) and secondary check box is that he agree privacy policy. If person not check privacy policy box this person can`t folow registration.

Thats all. There can not be one button for register and confirm this way everything. GDPR/RODO say this clear that this information must be placed that way not in betwen long text and user must confirm it separate way. At this moment there is nothing like this at board (or I`m blind and I didn`t find it :-)).

There is also second problem:

#2. All existing members must confirm privacy policy. If they not confirm we not have a right to use their data - and by use we understand existance of their accounts.

Where is this option?

I see that some steps to GDPR/RODO have a place but this two things are absolute minimum and I`m curiosu why this not yet is implemented. Basically everyone at this moment here in UE who use script do a crime. Law say that if person can be recognized by any data stored that we msut folow this law. Since emails are really easy to recognize person behind them this apply to everyone.

I hope this will be fixed really soon

Thank You

Ad 2 - resave the policy in the ACP (changes at least one char to be "different") and you'll see option to force users to agree with the new policy.

So according to this image:

box: send me new and updates -> this is not the same what "I agree to receive commercial emails" but I will ask my lawyer.
box: I agree to the terms of use and privacy policy - should this not be separate? I will need to ask my lawyer about this since he explain that this points must be one by one

Thank You for this help. I hope this will be enought.

Yes, it is. You are free to change the wording if the default is too vague and your privacy policy can also explain the emails in every detail.

You need to accept both anyway. There is no use for accepting just one.

Note both are logged independently and you can later change them independently and require new consent.

If it is the language string you want to change you will find that in the ACP; Customization / localization/ Languages.
