A simple plugin that adds a text block at the top of the user signup form.  I created this for a site that wanted to highlight some of their T&Cs at the top of the form but it may have other uses.

Settings

  • Show/Hide Message.
  • 4 built in IPS message formats or plain wysiwyg text

Hello Edward,

I upgraded to the newest version 1.03 after my forum was upgraded to 4.1.13.2 and I am unable to see what the different formats are and also the editor isn't available to post or make any changes to my registration message.

However,  my message is currently present on the registration form from an earlier version.

@InsideEdge I would just try uninstalling and reinstalling it.  The upgraded does seem to loose things at times.

Thanks,  It appears I have a bigger issue that I didn't notice until after I posted above.  The CKeditor on my site isnot working site wide.   I'll assume here that once that is fixed your app will work also.

I would try clearing the cache to see if it is a JavaScript issue

Clearing the cache didn't work.

It works now.  I reverted to default settings on the CKeditor.

thanks!

Very nice, thank you. The only thing is when I edit my message I do not get the option to upload a file or photo.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong or not.

I have the latest forum version 4.1.16.1

Thank you

I would try the old 'support > something isn't working' option to clear the cache.  if that doesn't work try updating it again with the same file and that might jog it into life. :)

Fixed, I had an outdated image in a custom toolbar button. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Great plugin!! Works fine :)

It seems okay for me.

This is not working for me on 4.2.2 as can be seen in the image below:

Any chance of taking a look and fixing this?

Thanks for making this, great add on!

In your picks, the message shows up under Sign Up, for me, it shows up above.  I ran the support tool and it stayed the same.  I'm running 4.2.3.

If this is the way it displays, that's great.  Just checking to make sure there isn't an issue with my install.

Thanks

Yes that is the way it displays in 4.2.  My screenshot are from 4.0 or 4.1 but IPS changed the templates in 4.2.

Can you send me a link please. If you compare your screenshot with the one that Square Wheels has posted you’ll see that they have a different layout. All of my sites have the same layout as Square Wheel’s so I’m not sure why yours would be different.
