This was talked about here:

 

Basically the ability to have custom made ratings created by the board owner/admins. You can make a rating count for either positive or negative rep and decide which rating buttons appear in which forum/area. Basically the new way facebook is doing it with Happy, Sad, Angry, and so forth.

There's plans I read for the like system to be enhanced - I personally wished someone would create a plugin for it though.

As I don't see IPS doing it anytime soon.

I hope you don't forget the gallery in regards to this. The sad 'Star Wars' which is going on in there between stars (rebels) and likes (empire) is terrible to watch at.

Gallery improvements are coming up before 4.2 actually. It's next on our list.
