The homepage of the marketplace has absolutely nothing even remotely related to themes. It would be great if the theme category could be made more prominent. At the very least, re-order the category structure so that themes aren't hidden beneath the (and 7 more) link.
Kevin Carwile Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I would concur. I believe some sort of effort should be made to make discovery and presentation of marketplace content better. As it stands, 60% of the content found on the marketplace homepage is a permanent fixture. IPS Converters have been downloaded the most... will that ever change? Maybe it should show what has been being downloaded the most RECENTLY. I understand that it just a stock downloads homepage, but it is still an actual marketplace.
Ryan H. Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Agree with Kevin. Pretty much everything in the marketplace is difficult to find. It's terrible from a discovery and marketing point of view, which means it's not very good for the sellers or for the people willing to buy stuff.

Featured Downloads display only 4 files per time, nice... but here it takes months and months to change files. Not sure... but it should be possible to minimize Highest Rated and Most Downloaded blocks since they're useless for a marketplace and have new blocks, like similar files to those you liked/downloaded/purchased, etc. Or even give the user the ability to create their blocks, using their filters, based on tags, authors, categories, etc.
Management Lindy Posted January 13, 2016 Management Posted January 13, 2016 I've reworked the categories - themes are now an independent category and listed first since that's what folks tend to go for first. I've made a couple of other changes, but will work on the featured/top downloads items at a later time.
Woodsman Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Cough, Cough. You would think that Themes would be the primary category and extras like emo's, badges and such would be a secondary being the primary reason more people are looking for themes rather than extra's. Cough, Cough.
