Save records in Categories, always 'Show records like articles'

If I create a database, then allow records to be saved in Categories, how do I always 'show records like articles' in the individual Category. 

Example 

www.canadaisplaying.com

1. Click on TESTME in the navbar

2. See the list of articles mixed up by category ordered by publication date. Perfect!

3. Click on a Category in sidebar... now it looks like a forum.

4. How can you keep the same format so the category is displayed as 'show records like articles'

It's kind of a 'discontinuity' so to speak. 

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

“show records like articles” is specifically for the front page, not for category listings. Category listing has only one “table-style” default template with all the filter options. So either this needs to be made a feature request for IPS or you need to restyle the HTML of the listing template to mimic the article listings.
