Smallxmac Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Now I'm sure this has been asked before, but I could not find it when I was looking for it. I noticed on my test site that members had the option to see the Mod CP. They cannot really do anything at all in there, but I don't think they should see imo. What I think is happening is that this is for Mods that are in charge of just one forum so that they can see the Mod CP. If anyone know any place where a setting might be to remove this, then please tell me. I noticed this forum does not do that.
Sinistra Sensei Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Even in 3.4.7 regular mods had access to the mod CP. This is how they moderate their forums, add announcements and what have you. They do not have access to vital aspects of the site you can set that up in the admin CP if you wish your Super Moderators to have more access. Also make sure your members group didn't somehow get put in the moderation page in members -> staff -> moderators if not report it as a bug
Smallxmac Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 @Sinistra Thanks for the reply! Yeah I knew that already, but I'm not sure if it is a bug and or if I should report it due to it not being on this site for the clients usergroup.
Mark Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 It's a bug. You can control access to any module from the Applications section of the ACP. The default for the ModCP module should of course, only be moderator groups.
Smallxmac Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 @Mark Thanks, would you like me to report it to the bug tracker, I did not see it on there.
Smallxmac Posted December 5, 2014 Author Posted December 5, 2014 Seems my other Admin was able to fix this, Will edit this when he told me what he did. Might be something stupid Sorry about that @Mark

Smallxmac Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 Yeah I have not spoke with the other admin which could give me some enlightenment, I was bugged by the fact that they can goto the link and then make a topic "Forum is broke members can go into ModCP"
