Michael Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I've just released version 1.3.3 which fixes a few bugs, namely a pretty annoying one just introduced in IP.Board 3.3.4. Here are a list of issues fixed in this version:Shout button non responsive on mobile device Banned group still present installing 1.3.2 on IP Board 3.3.1 After editing shout, unable to post new shouts Post 3.3.4 forum update, cannot edit shouts. As always, please check the FAQ if you have any issues. Chances are, your issue will be addressed there.
Dmacleo Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Thanks Michael, that was quick fix for that issue that was hitting some.
°¯ðloh𯰠=Þ Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I think the setting you're showing a screenshot of is the setting for the Global Shoutbox hook, that's not the same as opening the Shoutbox in a popup. O I see. got it fixed. thanks
The Old Man Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Thanks for the quick compatibility fix Michael, my members were unable to use the Shout button to post a message after I upgraded the board to 3.3.4 this morning.
Dinah Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 That comes up when you have some application that is not marked as being upgraded. Click the Next button there and have it upgrade what it says needs upgrading. Will that happen with each upgrade of shoutbox? (I didn't see a "Next" button, although I guess it could have been there.)
Michael Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 It should happen every time you upload the files for any application updates.
Dinah Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Oh. Well, I've never seen it before. And I didn't see a Next button the other day. Where is the Next button located? I'm afraid I won't be able to get it installed and will never be able to use my AdminCP again.
Michael Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I'm sorry, I thought you'd already gotten this installed. If you'd like me to take a look at your installation for you, PM me your FTP and Admin CP details and I'll see what's wrong.
Dinah Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I did get it installed, but I had help. Then I found another update. Actually, i just watched a YouTube instruction and I think I might be able to do this. However, if I make a mess of it, I hope the invitation to PM you the FTP and CP details is still open. I'm sorry to be such a bother. I know you guys are used to talking to people who aren't clueless. I really appreciate your help and love the work you do.
Michael Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Yes, the invitation still stands, feel free to let me know if you need my help.
Dinah Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Michael, I did it. And without help this time. I mean other than the help you gave me here. It took me several tries, but I wasn't scared like I usually am because you said you would help if I couldn't do it. Thank you so much. It's working great!

Brent C Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Is it possible to parse links in the shoutbox automatically?
Michael Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 They should already, unless you have the url bbcode disabled in the Shoutbox.
moethelawn! Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 How do I remove the shoutbox link from the navbar?
Connor T Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 How do I remove the shoutbox link from the navbar? The same way you remove any other application tab. Go to the Applications page in ACP, edit it and tick "Hide Tab"
Dmacleo Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 if app has timed out should refresh work the same as I'm back button? when timed out all buttons except refresh work, they do what they are supposed to. when not timed out refresh works fine. did not seem to be skin related. not really an issue, just caught my eye. edit: I did forget to check tracker to see if this was already mentioned, if so I apologize.
bwyatt Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Hey, I just updated to 1.3.3 and the shout-box dose not appear to be on top of the page anymore, In the hooks arrangement it is suppose to be above the content slider and not next to the sidebar.
bosss Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Can we add shoutbox (mean no like sidebar block) to IP Content page and how if is it possible? regards bosss

If you have timed out, you should be pressing the "I'm back" button if you want to tell the app you're back, none of the other buttons are inherently intended to perform that same function. Can we add shoutbox (mean no like sidebar block) to IP Content page and how if is it possible? regards bosss There is a section in the Shoutbox FAQ that explains how to make the Global Shoutbox hook show on different pages.
bosss Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 There is a section in the Shoutbox FAQ that explains how to make the Global Shoutbox hook show on different pages. I tried but works not ... link for my IP Content is public_html/ipb/index.php?/page/index.html and what i should put in place for show on IP Content page - homepage? regards bosss
Michael Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 You'll have to experiment with it. If you need help determining what the various GET and POST values are that indicate the page you're on, you can turn that on in the General Configuration -> Debug Level settings in IP.Board.
