Screen Resolution Checking by Developers

There are many users out there that use screen resolutions of 1024x768, or lower.

I would like to make a request that IPS developers remember to check that anything they do also works properly at at least 1024x768.

1024x768 is in use, but is definitely on the decline, it unfortunately limits what you can do with an interface. This is just my opinion of course, but it won't be long before 1024x768 is near obsolete.

1024x768 isn't used as much as people think anymore, and severely limits what you can do with an interface. This is just my opinion of course, but it won't be long before 1024x768 is near obsolete.

Sure, but we still had slightly over 20% of our traffic at that resolution - so not a small number at all.

No doubt it will reduce, but I think it will still take a year or two.

I don't think it will reduce as my guess is many of the smaller screens are in fact netbooks. My son uses one at University.

What I would suggest is a low res skin to cater for these devices but the default skin be designed to work on a 1280 wide screen for proper laptops and desktop computers.

Does anyone know if any of the 1024 x 768 issues have been addressed yet?

I use 1024 on my backup computer and both of my local servers. All have been used occasionally to access forums, both v2.3.x and v3.1.4.

None has ever had a display issue.
