zephyzeph Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 After - I didn't test it before sorry... just assumed it needed to be upgraded when saw the link.
Gunnar94 Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 Ok, I am not sure why, but it appears as though templates aren't being installed. Try recaching your templates.
zephyzeph Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Unfortunately that didnt fix.. I removed and reinstalled it fresh and this time did not do the upgrade and I have the same error. Really would like this to work for us. Still broken images in the admin and still getting this on any pages where someone with an award is posted:Fatal error: Call to a member function topicPost_view() on a non-object in /home/thegreat/public_html/hooks/awardsPostView_e0df0b90921f6afe8b05d837d566c5c6.php on line 83
Kandice Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 It will be among your templates in the ACP, just tell me if you have it, you do not physically need to do anything with it. I already uninstall it since this is a live board and the error cause the forum not even functional. I will try install again and look if there those thing the template, but don't know if that will even render the issue. May need install on a Test forum this time and try it out. @Zephyzeph take a look at my above post, I get the same error no matter what. I try do a fresh install removing all IP Award and same error. You are getting the same error as me. I think there may be a bug in 2.2.4 for 3.2.4 IPBoard as many are getting same error as me.
Aisha Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Pretty sure this is a known bug with patch posted in the tracker. Anyway try rebuilding your templates and then recaching them. Rebuild first!
zephyzeph Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Rebuilt and recache and still have same error
Gunnar94 Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 So far, I am having trouble recreating this error. But I have another question for those getting this error. Did you previously run PIN Awards Management System on your board? If so, did you mistakenly upgrade from PIN Awards to (inv) Awards?
zephyzeph Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Nope - didnt have PIN. This is a new site and was a fresh install of (inv) Awards
markopolo2002 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Just to add, I too have installed this for the first time and get exactly the same error as zephyzeph :)
davemcnally Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I'm getting a constant 'upgrade available' button loop. I've tried running through the upgrade process and tried removing and installing a fresh copy but it still says update available and the version is blank but if I click edit details, it shows 2.2.4:
Cyrem Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I'm getting a constant 'upgrade available' button loop. I've tried running through the upgrade process and tried removing and installing a fresh copy but it still says update available and the version is blank but if I click edit details, it shows 2.2.4: [img] [/img] Same problem here. Also when you hovered over the award icons it showed the award description, it's not doing this anymore :(
Michael Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I've removed the broken file flag from this file as I was able to install it without any issues. For those getting a "Call to a member function on a non-object" error, that is something several apps have gotten in the 3.2.x series, it is an IP.Board issue, not an application issue. Make sure you have properly uploaded all of the files for this application, then visit the Look & Feel -> Template Tools page in the Admin CP and run the Rebuild Master Skin Data (check the boxes for 'Rebuild HTML' and '(inv) Awards') tool, then run the 'Recache Skin Sets' tool for all skins. That should fix the problem. For some reason, application installs/upgrades are occasionally missing skin templates that would normally be installed. This manual re-import of them should fix it. EDIT: In addition, the reason why the 'upgrade available' button won't ever go away is because you are using long version numbers that are too big. The core_applications.app_long_version field is an int(10) field, it cannot hold the number 20204000000 as a version number, the highest it can hold is 2147483647. You're going to have to re-do your application long version numbers and make them much smaller, you can't just keep adding digits on forever.
zephyzeph Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Worked!! Thank you so much! Question - are the awards supposed to show on the left of posts under the name and image of the user? I have the link to the awards, but it is not showing the actual award.... there is just a dot where the image should be... two dots if there are two awards...etc

I thought I edit some part of my skin like stop Ajax Loading Animation, Forum Icons that is causing this. Almost every Applicaion and Mod I install result in Error. But as soon as Rebuild Master Skin Data and for that Application, then go Recache the skin there is no more error. I really hope this 3.2.3 bugs have been submitted already and it will get fix soon. I never experiment anything like this in 3.2.2. This is one scary bug seeing blank screen and error after installing mods. Thanks for explaining this to me, I thought something up with my Skin Template.
Gunnar94 Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 Awesome, well now that I know what I have to do, I suppose I can tell you what is coming for 2.2.5. Along with the fixes for the "Upgrade Now Button", you will see: At least 2 New Auto-Award Functions:Time on Website Amount of Reputation An option to "Run Auto-Award Function", this is so that if there are members which already qualify for the auto award, they too can get it. Award by URL. This feature will allow administrators to give an award automatically when a user clicks a link, and that link takes the user to a special page.
Rugger Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Well I just installed 2.2.4 version of this for the first time. It works flawlessly. Awesome piece of work, well done :)
Rugger Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Could you also add the following to version 2.2.5: The ability in the system settings to switch on or off the Nav button on the menu bar. Personally my Nav bar is getting too full, so I hide certain buttons, and then add them in the "More" dropdown. Thx
AlexJ Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 How about # of topic views? If someone make good topic might want to award him for that?
Rugger Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 How about # of topic views? If someone make good topic might want to award him for that? Not something I'm personally interested in, sorry. However I'm making good use of the approval process. What would be nice, is that when someone "gives an award" that it flags up that it requires approval before appearing. It all works fine, just that it would be nice the for the person to know that approval is required.
zephyzeph Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 great adds for the new version but I am still wondering if I am supposed to have more than dots on the profile bar beside the posts because seems the awards should be showing there?

Can you post a screenshot? What I think you are seeing (without knowing for sure) is the pips from members ranks under members within the admin cp.
Subdreamer Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 All I want to say is "thank you" for sharing your mod with us! I'm keeping an eye on this thread daily. :)
Benny. Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 hi topthrill iv had a massive issue with posting topics on my board and after many hours it turns out it was the 'topic View Awards Hook' , it caused ajax to break and IPS Tech have fixed my board but asked me to let you know of the fault. please pm for more info on this fault. thanks Benny
zephyzeph Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Not sure if you can see but under the Awards Gray link there are two dots - this user has 2 awards. For a user with one award it shows one dot. And yes - all hooks are activated.
