  1. Hi Kyle, Sorry but this project has been dead for a fair while - there are better replacements on the marketplace that are being kept up to date. Thanks
  2. Can you read your pm’s please. Thank you
  3. @FGN I tried to sign up to your site to confirm if it was the same issue as what I had but I cannot get past the captcha.. Anyway I don't think it is what I was having but I will give a couple of things to check, first is that you are not enforcing HTTPs yet you are supporting it so when I go to the site I am getting mixed content warnings which could possibly cause an issue with loading the font resource. The issue I had was with serving over a CDN so I needed to make sure CORS was setup correctly.
  4. Ah I see the search thing has been brought up already - just applied the manual fix and looks great. One big issue though is there is no way to change where you are searching. e.g. members, forums. gallery. etc. That would be really useful to have back.
  5. Thanks @Veilon that's good to hear. One of the things I can't see in the theme (is it a theme setting?) is that the search box is missing. Thanks,
  6. Liking the theme but a couple of things I have noticed. First is what @Melissa Moore has said above - this is really degrading the user experience on mobile. On the 'Latest Posts' block the page numbering is really not clear and the last page option is invisible. First image is as it looks and second me highlighting it. Would be great if this could be addressed. Thanks.

    Free SSL

I have a Windows/IIS setup so used https://github.com/Lone-Coder/letsencrypt-win-simple I would say the clients are still in Alpha so they are not great if you are not a technical user.
  8. Thank-you! knew I wasn't going mad :) Is this also in Commerce out of interest?
  9. I have been racking my brain but can't remember it! In 3.4 Nexus there is a hard coded coupon code which says something like 'nice try' or something when you try and use it. I cannot remember the code or the story behind it. It came up at work today and I was one of those people that says half a story thinking it's great and couldn't give any of the actual facts. So IPS staff please remind me Also out of interest is the same thing in IPB4 Nexus?

    Free SSL

Can't decide if you're being serious or not... anyway these are Domain Validated (DV) certificates which have a different use to trust based certificates. They allow a secure connection without implying trust of the web server receiving the data.

Just an update that the Lets Encrypt certificates will now be trusted in all major browsers from the IdenTrust cross signatures. Public availability is on schedule for mid November. Full article here: https://letsencrypt.org/2015/10/19/lets-encrypt-is-trusted.html
  12. Not anywhere in the near future. I have moved the admin side over to IPB4 but as there is a new framework for the front end I have started to implement it in a different way; widgets etc. I will be on holiday for the next two months which will involve traveling around Japan so will not be working on it until I return. Thanks for your interest.

    Free SSL

It is a very new service and will not be openly available until mid September. The backers (sponsors) are very reputable and there is a hope that this will make the internet a more secure place. There is also talks that are looking to make it so that when a website is HTTP then it will display as non-secure. Currently HTTP displays as neutral and non-secure is a website using HTTPs but has HTTP resources. (https://www.chromium.org/Home/chromium-security/marking-http-as-non-secure) Both the Lets Encrypt service and the browsers changes on displaying protocol security should see a great increase in websites adopting HTTPs and generally making the internet safer. I do like to see that a sponsor for both these changes is mozilla which shows a true understanding of changes that need to be made when hosting websites. It does come down to us as 'webmasters' to raise the standard and apply the updates when possible. I would not be surprised that once these types of changes are made that hosting companies start to 'offer' fully HTTPs websites are standard.
  14. PM me your website URL, who your game server host is and information on how they are giving you access to the screenshots and I will take a look.
  15. It could be a possible feature idea for the IPB4 line however I will only be continuing development of the 3.4 line as far as bug fixes. You could look at using IP.Content to display the screenshots depending how they are accessed. It would be a bit messy but usable.
  16. Have any of you guys heard of https://letsencrypt.org/ which is hoping to have free SSL for everyone later this year. Just thought that some of you may be interested if you are unwilling to certificate up because of the costs. Something to keep an eye on.
  17. I think what is trying to be said here is that the question you asked is outside of the scope of support. The issue itself is being caused by an external entity and it is obvious that whoever handled your support looked at it enough to find that out, once they had identified that they gave you different options on how to proceed. I get that you are saying it doesn't happen on other platforms and on the IPB3 platform but that does not mean it is an issue with IPB4. It is simply a conflict of software, such as running two antiviruses which both perform scans at the same time and quarantine the same files. When you get a response such as the one you received informing you it is out of their scope you can post here in the community forums asking for assistance and the community can help. Thanks for reading. Now - how do you export the JS and CSS when getting a plugin ready for release? and also is there any documentation on accessing Nodes from the front end?
  18. Update: I have released 2.0.0 - my versions got messed up as I left development for a while in the middle of some stuff and it was easier to just give up on the 1.x.x development series. There have been a fair amount of changes and many bug fixes in this version. I think I have most of them but if not then post and I will get to them asap. I do not think it is likely that I will be adding any features but I will give bug fix updates. I have now started learning to develop with IPB4 and will look to release the server management application there. Thanks
  19. The editor is WYSIWYG so this is not needed.
  20. Well my dissertation is submitted and I presented it today to the markers. I will now be working on a 1.4.0 update which will focus on code improvements and bug fixes rather than feature additions. Currently 1.4.0 is in the state where large parts of the code have been rewritten to improve stability. The settings have been revamped to be more logical. I have reworked the whole 'credentials' aspect as it is a feature than not all users want to have or use, it is now separated from the server list. The hover icons have been removed as they caused problems on most users websites, there is still the ability to view most of the information on the servers profile page. I have converted all strings to language strings to be more compatible with foreign boards. FURLS are now used for the application pages and server pages. I have started to add some B3 related stuff which I doubt most users would want but it's more for my community. B3 repositories can be added which allow for server chatlogs to be visible. My aim for release will be early next week. Thanks
  21. Yeah this sort of thing is up to the webmaster. You could use a CDN to store the image files on servers closer to the users. Leverage caching so that the users only have to load the image once. Implement image optomisation to decrease the size of the image and therefore have it load faster.
  22. I will only be creating the 4.0 version when I move my board over which will not be for a month or so after final release. Updates to the 3.4 version are being made but I have had to prioritise my degree dissertation. I will provide updates when possible. Thanks,
  23. Apologies, I am sure I have not been getting notifications of posts on this topic until this last one. An update: I am nearing completion on the next version with many bug fixes and improvements. I have added in more integration into the way the IPB platform works such as furls, language strings and templates with html logic. Also added are better settings to make it easier to control and a framework for the server list backend. Not for all but it was requested by some, I have created a repository section that allows you to link a server with a B3 Bot database, this allows the viewing of server chatlogs and a read only client profile. I have a unfortunate GIT issue a month or so back with has set me back a long way, it also means that the next update has many core changes which makes upgrading harder. Thanks, and apologies for the lack of communication.
  24. Just checked the download and yes there is no 'public folder' which is as it should be. I removed the icons from the specific skin folders but forgot to change the read me so you don't need to worry about that. The read me folder does not need to be uploaded. The only folders to be uploaded are the admin and uploads folder as per the read me. You can import the block located in the blocks folder from within your ACP.
  25. I think it should be 7d2d rather than 72d2. If you provide me with the server details I can take a look. I am in a bit of a fix with the next update as I have moved from a Windows server to a Linux server. Now although that doesn't affect this app it does affect some of my other private applications. To get over this I have been adding my private applications to this application which will be released. Essentially the features that will be in the next update are: - Management of B3 Data Repositories (http://www.bigbrotherbot.net/index.php) - Linking of forum accounts to in-game accounts via B3 repository and group synchronisation - Punkbuster, COD2, COD4, COD5 ban file synchronisation to B3 repository - General bug fixes I do like the idea of having furl templates as it generally makes it look nicer. I will research how easy it is to implement and depending on that include it in the next update. Thanks,
