Make an option to upload an "xml" help files. :)

Add those help file:

"How to: use bbcodes"
"How to: start new poll"

If you can give us to edit directly trough the act=help page it would be great! (the same method as "hold&write your desciption").
Add a new button for "Start New Help File" (instead of using ACP Settings)

Please note this is just for suggestions on the help files themselves. For suggestions on the help system in general, please create a new topic.

As for the polls, they are covered in:

The BBCode Help is on the post editor page:

So you could make a couple of improvements with the BBCode - Help.

If you think you will have to add a new help files to your act=Help page, you do not have to add anything, it's enough if you don't have any new-feature in IPB v3. you could think about "Banned System" file :)

An easy way for modifications to add help files.

A bit more detail on the components (Blog and Gallery).
Screenshots or images in there by default.
Some moderator Help files would be awesome, its not that my moderators need help, they know how to mod but sometimes they can't find certain things and short of asking me they have no where to look.
Use language variables in some help files. Like in the:
http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...DE=01&HID=7
Contacting the Moderating Team page. I do not call my "The moderating team" page that, it is called "The Corrupted Carnies".

If I think of anything else I'll post.

I *think* Keith meant suggestions for the help file content for 3.0, not the actual help system.

I think while screenshots would be helpful, it gets awkward with changing skins - would it be possible to show images, though, such as the actual button for report post, instead of saying "Click the report button". I'm not sure if the image directory in use is stored in a macro or something that can be parsed, though.

Yes, please limit your suggestions to actual help content.

Correct: "I think a help file that showed how people can manage their friends would be useful"

Incorrect: "Please add xyz feature to the help system"

A great idea, but different boards have different skins. The screenshots might look awkward in that case, no?

Personal Messages (What are they, how to send them)

It would be kind of hard to add content for IPB 3.0 when we haven't seen IPB 3.0 yet.

But in all honesty, one thing that confuses a lot of new users which I have seen is the quote / reply buttons. Probably should clarify which one does what. Also explain a bit more about the attachment system.

That's right! I must agree. We can't help you with a content if we have not seen it yet.

Try thinking about the current help files instead then, and help them understand what might be missing in them currently. Then they have a better idea of what they need to add in to the new help files that they may have missed previously.

That is correct. :)
