Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted June 15, 200816 yr Can you allow admins to set the skin permissions for each group? It's a useful feature many will need.
June 15, 200816 yr I know there are modifications to allow this with 2.3.x , but +1 it would be nice to see with IPB 3 an option per member group to allow / deny access to the skin chooser :)
June 15, 200816 yr I'd also like this, I wouldn't use it for my example, but I know a lot of sites have a VIP group, allowing them access to a skin normal members don't have would work well with this feature.
September 3, 200816 yr Had a mod like this on a forum I used to be an admin on, I loved the whole idea behind it, although it wasn't ever used that I remember. Anyways, plus one.
September 3, 200816 yr I think this would be fabulous to use because some think a changed layout is warranted but I don't think that members that have certain post counts should get it. May sound cruel but I want those that work for a "better" layout can earn it as my layout isn't that bad.
September 3, 200816 yr I know a lot of forums use this as an extra for special groups, but I think these days you have to be more creative or offer more. Restricting skins is like not allowing personal avatars.
September 4, 200816 yr http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=276687Also, each skin allows you to set group-based permissions so that you can determine exactly who can view and select skins. :)
September 13, 200816 yr http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=276687 :) Finally a standard feature (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)
