I have a very small nitpick suggestion about how topic descriptions are displayed in topic view. Currently the description is shown right beside the topic title in slightly smaller text size and a different color. Could it be separated even further? I think something as simple as wrapping it in round brackets, ($description), next to the topic title as it is, would look better!

Everything was quiet, but all posts were not the dates. I tried everything but could not find a solution. I brought this up on the preview board way back when, but figured i'd make sure it was noted here so that it's not forgotten. (I think there might have been some IPS staff interest in bringing this back in a future 3.x.x release.) Anyways, just wanted to repeat that I would really love to see this brought back at some point. Probably the one feature I think that really tied the editor functions together as it worked on the fly. You could easily copy and paste info from web pages with formatting intact into the RTE. Then click over to the STE to double check/correct any errors. Also very handy when trying to format really long content in a post. Circled in Red…

When I click "View New Content", it often shows me threads that were new to me when I arrived at the forum, but have since read (or even posted in). Is this the correct behavior? I was under the impression that "View New Content" is only supposed to show Unread topics. For instance, In this image, you can see that the third and fourth topics show that there are no unread posts in them, yet they are still showing up in "View New Content". ..Al

Did the betas come with an automatic expiration limit attached to them via the IonCube software? Just wondering as I've seen several forums that used the betas now have an expired kernal file.

This may be a matter of personal preference, but how about changing the category marker of a redirect forum to "read" after the link is clicked on once? That way it wouldn't stay lit when, for example, the entire board is marked as read.

I just gave it a try and in order to give access to everyone in a section, you have to check each and every option. A check box for that section (like in System Tab, Manage Settings bar) to check everything in that specific section would be majorly appreciated. Checking it should check all options in that section, unchecking that box should uncheck all boxes in that section. Something should be available for tabs to, because if someone is supposed to have access to everything in a tab except for a few options, or all options everywhere except a few spots, then that's a lot of clicks to do. I was going to export an hook and I had the popup open to select language bits, I was already done adding 10 language strings but I clicked by mistake out of the popup and it closed itself so I had to redo everything. Can you please stop the popup being closed by clicking outside so we can close it only clicking on the close button? :whistle:

The textarea to run a query in ACP SQL Toolbox is really small and aligned to the left. Removing the attribute col="40" and changing it with the style below would be better personally: A width of 100% goes out of the light background so 99% of width is needed and maybe center the textarea so it doesn't look weird to have a thin line of a different color on the right. style="width:99%"

Currently in 3.0.0 and 2.3.6 you can set a user group to "Can bypass badword filters?" So that allows you to type whatever you want. However then other users can see your language. I've had a word pack of backwards uploaded since the beginning and its just now bothering me, as I sometimes cannot express myself within the language. I can post it, and everyone sees it which doesn't look good at times as an admin. Would a setting of "Can see/post badwords" be better? So those usergroups can post it and see it, but the usergroups that aren't selected don't. Hello! Sorry to post this bug here, but link to bug tracker in announcement does not work. Anyhow, I want to say that "Mark all posts as read" at the bottom of the page does not work. Nor does it work, to manually click on Forum's thumbnail. When the page is refreshed, the posts are still marked as not read.

I'm a facebooker and I think 1 of the best functions on Facebook is the chat bar, you can see it at the bottom of the page. It's really good if we have one bar like that, list online users and member can pm together, will be a great fun and deluxe for all users. Are there any ideas about this thing??

There is already a topic about caching the check for the hooks version and to repeat it after a defined number of days so I'll skip that part :P Actually the function that checks if an hook is updated or not based on the long version checks only if the Update URL returns 1 or 0 and based on that the board shows an upgrade link ONLY if you have setup a website url for the Hook. The new software is geat with a TON of new features I am sure everyone will enjoy. One suggestion I have. is there any plans to add a renaming of links that are posted? Basically, is someone posts a link to this site, it would show the page title of this site versus the link. Does that make sense?

When moderators edit a post and admins decide to take action against the user for what was posted, we have no idea what was in the post (only what the moderator tells us) because the original content is gone - we can only see what is left after the moderator edited it. Is it possible to have a sort of 'Edit History' where we can see a post's original content and where we can specify only admin access? We would really find something like this useful.
