Hi all, we had and have spammers who try to abuse the homepage link ("Website URL") or the "About me" section, i.e. profile fields, for link stuffing and unsolicited advertisement - which is spam. Marking the spammer using the built-in function hides the posts and threads but not the profile fields or the member profile itself. Suggestion is to hide the entire content of a spammer after being marked so. Regarding the profile fields specifically: Either the profile field content should be removed (A) or the entire profile should be set to hidden except for the Mods & Admins (B). This is just to give you an idea how it can be done, but in those detai…

As the title states, Stripe has CashApp Pay integration, but IPS integration is falling behind. Would be great to have this added. While you're at it, WeChat and Link are also missing.

It'd be great to be able to automate an email after a subscription has been created. E.g a user signs up for a paid subscription, and I'd like to send them a thank you email and provide them with further infomation on their subscription.

It would be very useful if we were able to automate regular recurring bulk email. E.g I want to send a specific email to certain users when certain filters are met and would like to do this on a regular basis. Currently we can only do this as a one off email.

It would be great if we could use the language tags within alert content. e.g. {member_joined} etc

There is already the BULK_MAILS_PER_CYCLE constant to solve issues with hosts that have trouble with many emails at once. Equally, if not more important, is how many emails are sent in a given timeframe. It’s normal for hosts and email services to have some kind of limit in that regard, but with the way IPS sends out bulk mail, it unpredictable when these limits are being hit and there is no way around this problem when the limits are hit. I suggest a solution like a MAX_MAIL_CYCLES_PER_TASK constant or setting to limit the amount of cycles run each time a cron is being fired. So, for example, I could set 1 run of 100 emails with the cron running every minute res…

When installing a custom theme, it is recommended to install the theme and then create a child of that theme to hold all of your modifications. This allows you to update the root theme without losing your modifications. It would be nice if we could lock the parent theme, possibly as an opt-in action, to prevent accidentally editing the theme when making edits. This is especially prevalent when having to make a change cross multiple theme installs, such as when you have both a light and dark theme installed. As for implementation, this could be a bit field on the theme's database configuration. If true, the edit button is disabled and hidden and navigating to the…

When creating custom fields, the ability to select a specific database entry or forum post, better yet filtered by the specific forum, would be appreciated. Use case: I have a staff application form (forms provided by third party plugin) where there is a field requesting a link to their membership application. This field is a URL field. Using regex, I can filter this field to only accept entries from the current domain, and even filter it down to just forum links in general, but there is no mechanism to allow the selection of a specific thread or post.

Will be a great function to limit by privileges to send private messages only to group users permited. For example: Subscriptors only can send to administrators and moderators. Now not exist any limit, only can deactivate the meesage app for every user group but not is the best solution. Can you consider for upcoming updates? Thanks a lot.

We utilize a very large gallery and at times there is a need for some mass cleanup. We have noticed the following items could be improved: Currently there is no option to select multiple images to change owner, must be done one by one. You can hide/delete/etc, but not alter ownership. Currently there is no option to move images into another users album if moderator/admin. You can only move them into albums you have created. If an album has ownership changed, there is no option to apply that change to the images inside the album. Therefore the album is under a new owner, but the images remain under the original album owner. This is ok in some cases, …

This is a big move by Google with the potential to showcase more forum content in search as well as highlight members of the community. Sharing this here hoping it can be natively added to IC5 🤞 Snippets below ----------------------------------- New in structured data: discussion forum and profile page markup Today we're announcing support for profile page and discussion forum structured data for use in Google Search, including new reports in Search Console. This markup works with Google Search features that are designed to show first-person perspectives from social media platforms, forums, and other communities. Implementing this structured data will …

When "show on member's profile" is set to "Do not show", it will also not show on content submissions when that's set to show. The content submission setting should either apply or be disabled Edit: actually, when content submissions was set to "show to all" it was being treated as "show to staff and profile owner"

I'll start by stating that the version of Pages I am using is about two years old. (v4.4.10) That said, I can't find anything that suggests it's any better now. I'll explain... I've been an Invision user for probably 18+ years now. I really love most aspects of it. But there's one specific reoccurring theme that always drives me insane. Some very basic layout features that so many other suites offer are just absent from Invision. Here's my number one example, with Pages... 1a. There is no way that I can find to easily change the layout of articles as they show within categories. I want the list of articles within a category to look like they do when you actual…

Hi all, Just making this post to help gauge interest in the ability to use FontAwesome kits and allow the use of FontAwesome Pro in IC5. This option would allow administrators to provide a kit url in the ACP which would unlock the ability to use FontAwesome Pro. Currently, IC5 uses locally hosted FontAwesome 6 Free.

We have been using Invision Community for some time now. Since we started we have grown and added new forums for our community. We have taken advantage of the ability to create different groups and edit the permissions of our forums so that specific groups and view specific forums. Currently we have two main groups. Group A and Group B, each with their own handful of designated forums. Group A cannot see Group B's forums and vis versa. It would be a very useful upgrade to allow for new members to register and indicate which group they align with so upon logging into the community, they access their appropriate group of forums. As the community grows, it is impossible to m…

I wish there was an option to enforce a minimum amount of characters or words to submit a post in the forum. Many people nowadays ask questions or answer questions with only a video. That's fine for the forum, however that triggers an error for the structured data in Google Search Console:

This feature is inspired by another product, Woltlab. The Woltlab store feature which is very similar to the marketplace here allows site administrators to publish package links. These package links can be added to a client's ACP, and combined with either a username and password for the vendor's site or some kind of token, allows the client's site to securely check for updates to plugins and, given the correct credentials, download and install said updates in a manner similar to how the Marketplace used to work. Limitations: There would need to be some way to properly identify and limit packages available on this link to Invision Applications. Guides, sa…

When we upload CSS or JS files under Media, there is no way to edit them other than replace them. When we replace them, it generates a new _cb=xxxxx (maybe version number?). Can we ignore the _cb=xxxx and just the file name part of the URL while using the file or just use the {media=xx} tag? In any case, being able to edit the file in-place instead of re-uploading/replacing with an updated version will be easier (similar to how the file content is edited in Themes > CSS). This way, we don't have to maintain a copy on our disk.

Our community is REALLY enjoying the club feature. We have 15 and will launch more in the future. The list of clubs is now getting...long and a little confusing for our members to search through. We have a few informal categories of clubs that we use and it would be amazing to be able to logically group those club categories in some way on the front of the club page...or even create separate top level pages for each category of club.

When creating a URL field in a database, we should have the option as a toggle to limit links to same-site URLs only. In other words, if your site's canonical link is www.example.com and this option is enabled, then provided links may only be to pages on www.example.com. Edit: I know I can provide regex for this as below, but I would consider this to be a bit of a hacky solution. https?:\/\/www\.example\.com\/forums\/topic\/[0-9a-zA-Z-]+\/?

I host a forum for an online game community, for which I use the events feature to invite people to in-game events. I would like to be able to create venues corresponding the in-game locations, but venues require a mailing address. Currently we must work around this by requiring event hosts to specify venues in the event description. I see a few potential directions here: Add a Yes/No question for "Venue Has Address" which toggles the Address field. Add a Yes/No question for "Venue Has Mailing Address". When Yes, the Address field is shown as today. When No, a simple text field is displayed allowing the user to provide custom input. The ability to…
