    Hi All,

I can't remember if I submitted this suggestion before, but I would like a Zapier action that allows me to add/change a Secondary Group on a user.

    Thanks,
    Nigel

Would it be possible to sell lesson or coaching hours using the calendar?
The trainer would put his available times and days in the calendar and then any member could easily see and then buy.
    thanks

Kpp reacted to Linux-Is-Best in CKEditor 4 end of life - alternative editor consideration
CKEditor 4 is reaching the end of life (source). Instead of jumping onto the CKEditor 5 bandwagon, I propose Invision consider an alternative editor. There are many well-established modern editors such as, for example, TinyMCE, Froala, Quill, and Redactor, to name a few. Any of these would make satisfactory alternatives.

CKEditor may be 'old school,' but it has become bloated, larger in file size and load time.  Most of the issues it encounters often have to do with responsive layouts on a mobile device and excessive load time. As mobile continues to dominate the landscape, I feel it may be prudent to focus on an editor development that has kept up successfully with the times with the least issues.

Changing the editor should not be expected in the next release. But a roadmap should be considered for a future transition.  Thank you for your time and consideration. 😀

I've brought this up internally for further consideration in a future release now that support is starting to gain more traction. 🙂

    Hi IPS,
Sorry if that question has already been asked a multizillion times – but I couldn't find it.
Is the integration of CKEditor 5 something that you have planned?
I know it's a big deal, but aren't there some improvements the Suite could use? Or maybe simply benefit from issues correction, as the v4 always gives me some troubles (I often can't move the cursor, for instance, even in the latest IPS).
As you're upgrading the UX in IPS 4.5, modernising the interface could be great. The text editor is maybe the most important thing in the Suite – it's the central gateway with which users interact with everything.
    Thank you!

To clarify since @Joel R mentioned me specifically... 😂
We will be sticking with CKEditor 4 for a little while. While we will presumably move to CKEditor 5 some time in the future, it is currently still very new and maturing (when Joel asked me, it was before 5.11.2.0 was released which is when they re-added paste from word). But most importantly, to move would require a lot of development time (to upgrade our custom plugins) for what will be, to the end-user, very little change. And since CKEditor plans to continue releasing updates to version 4 for the foreseeable future we're not missing out on bug fixes or security patches.
Obviously if you're experiencing issues, please submit a support ticket and we can look into that - if you're not seeing the same problems on CKEditor's demo, the problem is likely our end and so it's probable that moving to CKEditor 5 wouldn't resolve it.

I asked IPS about Ckeditor 5 because I liked the inline and balloon toolbars.
@Mark slapped me down.  Hard.  My cheeks still sting from the slapdown LOL.  Something about IPS would need to rewrite all of their plugins, we would lose some of the features that IPS needs, and current version is supported until 2023.  So that's a hard no.
Not until Invision Community 5 maybe or later.

Can we get the Page Builder: Text Widget with the rich text editor or can we get the WYSIWYG Widget with the advanced settings of the Page Builder: Text?

It feels awfully odd to get a text box where you can't edit anything about the text and call it a Page Builder: Text.  What is the use case for that?
