Be mindful that I know nothing and you shouldn't listen to me, however from a couple minutes of investigating it appears there are four different classes assigned to the four types of forums (cForumIcon_normal, cForumIcon_answers, cForumIcon_password, and cForumIcon_redirect) that you can override with some simple css.
Something like the code below placed in the custom.css should do the trick.
    .cForumIcon_normal { content: url("https://www.yourwebsite.com/path_to_img/normal.png"); } .cForumIcon_redirect { content: url("https://www.yourwebsite.com/path_to_img/redirect.png"); } .cForumIcon_password { content: url("https://www.yourwebsite.com/path_to_img/password.png"); } .cForumIcon_answers { content: url("https://www.yourwebsite.com/path_to_img/answers.png"); }

In Product config of Commence we may set what group to move in upon purchase and then select to return to previous group.
It would be good to see an option allowing to select what group to return after expiry. Particular cases require such behavior for better control of member privileges. Simple setting, much benefits, would appreciate it in near releases.

Thanks for the clarification, I was afraid this was the case. I would assume you're right as far as the secondary group idea, that might be the way I need to go.
My use-case deals with employees so in general trust isn't a huge concern, more of an idiot-proofing if you will.
I can definitely work around it so it's not a huge deal, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a way to make my job easier 😂
Thank you both for the help.

Why can't you just add a group to the moderators staff page and added 'restricted' and then choose the forums you want them to look after? Same process for single users too? This should allow you to pin/close in each forum. But, to be honest, there is no reason not to allow them to do both, just tell them not close or pin a topic. You should be able to trust them if they're becoming moderators.

Way back with IP.Board it used to show 'Forum led by: <Moderator name> - Of course, you can add this manually in the description.

You will need to have separate groups, though; Group A and Group B.

I'm afraid, the granularity that you're after here with a moderator group having different permissions per forum is not really possible here. While you can provide moderators control over only specific forums, those permissions would be the same across those specific forums you select.
I haven't tested this but you may be able to create this as separate groups and assign it as secondary groups.

Just a warning: If you add an individual moderator permission, such as with their display name instead of with groups, the display name permissions would override the group permissions.

The staff page makes a handy and attractive public-facing directory for my dog club. I would like to be able to list the same member — as an individual —  in more than one category.
One thing that grumps me every time I update it is that sometimes an officer will also be the contact for a different public facing club role, for example Vice President and also Rescue Contact.  I cannot add them twice (error msg prevents it) so I either have to bury their other role in the main 'bio' card (usually upsetting the grid alignment), or use a one-member Group to get them listed on an additional card for that role. However the group method does not permit a customized 'bio' where I normally put specialized contact info; nor can a custom name be used, so I can't communicate the role without also setting up a category to hold the card.
I have no idea what's behind the limitation but would love to see it overcome.

    Discord has its place.
It's a great tool if you're just starting a community and want to see if there's a need, or you want a semi-asynchronous chat that focuses on a 24-48 hour time window.

However, we have a mature support community so it's less useful. We want to encourage thoughtful posts that have a life beyond a few days. We want others to find these topics from search engines and we want to build a crowdsourced knowledgeable for Invision Community.
If we were to create an official Discord, it would create a brain drain and instead of us being able to look back and look at feature request trends, or customers being able to search for answers to their questions we have a 'here and now' relatively informal chat room.

Sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the transaction process. Please be advised I have replied to your ticket that came in yesterday. (Please create all tickets via the Client Area as direct mailing will reject them.) As mentioned in our policies, if you leave a card on file, we do attempt to take payment 7-10 days prior to your expiration. This way, if the automatic payment method fails, you have ample time to correct it before your community goes offline. If you do not wish for this to happen, you would need to remove the card on file and make manual payments.
I have responded with further details addressing your other comments but as we are currently out of the office, please be advised, responses may take longer than usual.

I’m not aware of a comprehensive list of each permission.

    However to answer your questions…
The messenger option controls allowing someone to edit the default permissions for notifications. (Email, push notifications) and allows an admin to specify if a member can edit their own settings from the default.   The mobile app settings are no longer used.  I assume you’re not running the latest version of IPB as that option would not appear any longer in the new versions of the software.   Logs/Settings/Diagnostic tools all apply I believe to the resources in the support section.   Regarding permissions… there are more permissions to grant than what you showed in your screen shot.  Check along the top as there should be things like Forums, Converters, and options for other apps you might have like Commerce and Pages.  It might be worth upgrading to the latest version and then checking to see what permissions you have available to grant a limited admin has changed also.
One question I might pose is what are you wanting someone to be able to do in the AdmincCP specifically?  It might be easier to approach helping that way.
