  1. just a question, i've seen info saying ips will only keep submitted data for a while unless its triggered as a spam. I would like to know (well more for everyone else, i can peep the code for this) exactly what information is submitted by the registration, what is deleted exactly, what is kept, what is created as a result of the information gathered and what you will be doing with the emails marked as spam, aside from the obvious (e.g. will you be selling the information in future etc?) also ips has never taken this kind of information from us before so i would recommend a quick update to the privacy agreement and TOS from ips to include this outlining all these issues in proper depth.
  2. @sig : woohoo i got quoted in a sig!
  3. Micheal is l33t and knows all, its said his dad used to read him lines of ipb code when he was little. he also has to be one of (if not THE) biggest mod contributor in the ips community.
  4. i liked the ipb3 pre beta admin cp nav which no0ne knows about :(.

    IN_DEV

yea i saw that but then i thought although that could be useful for skinners as they won't be messing with the master skin its just extra uneccessary process for developers.

    IN_DEV

This is regarding the following "bug": http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?app=tracker&showissue=14538. Since this bug was marked as working as intended i guess its now a feature request. Although this really isn't a feature request cus i used to be in 2.3 fine but then got screwed in IPB3. Basically theres a few issues here, firstly when a admin turns IN_DEV mode theres no export of the master_css folder, it would be cool if this could be added to the skin tools as although c&p of the css_1 etc dir is a possible its a bit caveman (considering theres already a export php files feature). secondly which is related to the bug is that when the style sheets are loaded in IN_DEV mode they seem to be loaded as print rather than the full screen essemble. Kinda wondering why this is but i think every developer here would like this removed so it reads the styles in screen mode. At the moment theres a kinda hack by adding the following to the top of each of the css files: /*<IPS_IMPORT_BLOCK> DO NOT REMOVE OR ALTER THIS PLEASE. IT IS REMOVED AUTOMATICALLY BY THE IMPORT ROUTINE. <css_position>1</css_position> <css_app>core</css_app> <css_app_hide>0</css_app_hide> <css_attributes>title="Main" media="screen"</css_attributes> </IPS_IMPORT_BLOCK>*/ could this not be done if a master_css export feature is added or stop ipb from reading the styles as print mode when IN_DEV is turned on! i don't really understand why this was changed to work in this way as its pretty confusing and not very intuitive.
  8. you could look on the new front end site: http://www.invisionpower.com/
  9. rikki u got it backwards, your meant to support the renderer that actually follows web standards not the other way round :P.

    New IPS Web Site

i love it, great job rikki and won't even go into how rikki managed to get his picture up on the homepage of the new site (in screeny of the profile of his avatar of him :P). And just for everyone else i'm sure the rest of the site will be completed soon enough, even u lot know how busy these ips lot are.
  13. i'm not too fussed to be honest but its not something i'll use. You could also make a plugin for the board index with a member posts (i'm not asking for it, much better suited as mod).
  14. if you think about it how many of your topics actually get moved? i think you'll find it very few over a long period of time. I would suggest a setting in the member controls though to turn off notifications from their moved topics tho.
  15. it could be worse, you could find "Rikki's Magical Marvellously Devilish Debugging Bits", and considering it was knocked up in the space of rc1 > rc2 i'd give it some slack.
  16. 0.3014 sec for me :P i'm winning '\o/'
  17. matt is working hard on the forum markers at the moment so just a prediction when he fixes those you might see the RC1, as that might take a bit with the fact it takes feedback from members.
  18. last i heard matt was getting power hungry and was going to name it Invision Matt Board. (IMB)
  19. yea it shouldn't and as matt states won't be added as default. Although after seeing firefox's map it made for ff3 i've been interested in playing with it. Might play with it...
  20. yea i mentioned a feature like this and the ability to merge them into the meta keywords too for indexing... i believe matt's reply was "head explodes and eyes bleed"... :P.
  21. ipb already has the feature to "promote" and "demote" members based on how many posts they have made. Also joinable groups imo don't seem like a good idea i just can't see a point in them and believe this control shouldn't be given to the members anyway.
  22. not long, i think its a good idea too +1 for a import system
  23. Just a small change i'd like but one i think is important. I'd like the icon showing that you've posted in a topic to be alot more obvious i often overlook it and forget its even there because its so subtle. Make it a bit more obvious like a bit of colour or change the icon identifier to a star or summit i dunno i leave it to you rikki. Oh and add it to the legend because for non ipb users its kinda rocket science at the moment.
