  1. Actually looking more into this I have just implemented it quickly to my site via mobile. Needs some work but I added

    <div class="right"><a href="whatsapp://send?text=JustATest"><img src="//phoneunlockserver.com/images/whatsapp.png"/></a></div>

    To my mobile skin after

    				{parse template="defaultHeader" group="global" params=""}
    			</if>

    I think it's better than relying on external websites and javascript

    It works on IOS, but still needs the page Title and URL.

    What about Android? Does it work with Google's OS?

  2. Please, add WhatsApp as a Sharing option in site Promotion.

    I have just taken a look at my website statistics right now and more than 50% of the visitors are accessing it by cell phones.

    It's a must for great community promotion the option to share content by WhatsApp.

    AddThis (http://www.addthis.com/blog/2014/08/13/new-services-added-including-whatsapp-sharing/#.VNqycMbZGC8) and AddToAny (https://www.addtoany.com/services/whatsapp_button) already offer WhatsApp sharing button.

    There is a ready to use javascript that can be used by IPS 4: http://whatsapp-sharing.com

  3. This is a great app, but may I make a suggestion that would make it even more killer?

    Have the app move users who bounce and meet certain criteria (0 approved posts / Not logged in/active in X days) to another group for easy pruning.

    My suggestion come from this: My user database is close to 12 years old.  I just sent out a holiday card to my entire user base.  Aside from spreading tidings of comfort and joy, I had ulterior motives.... it would be a great indicator of defunct users.

    nice suggestion!

  4. This app is great! Loving it so far.

    I have a suggestion for the next upgrade.

    You could add member moderation tools in the list Disable Emails.

    First, add the option to change the number of members listed per page.

    Second, add filters to list members, like number of posts, last post date, date registered, etc.

    Third, give the admin power to select one, many or all listed members under certain filters, and with the selected mass change member group, delete member account, etc.

    It would be very nice to have the power to mass delete members (with hard bouncing email), for exemple, with no posts or last login for more than a year, and so far.

    What do you think?

    And thanks again for this wonderful app.

  5. I was thinking in an app for my website specially designed to use GPS functionality to explore the community data.

    But as long as the new IPS 4.0 is going to have a responsive layout, the geolocation services can be offered without an app and with much more options.

    I guess the most important thing in the new IPS 4.0 is to let users provide their GPS geolocation on each log in and make the geolocation data available in the system for the developers to explore this data the best way that can be imagined for each community.

    Thanks!!! It will be an awesome feature that will put IPS ahead the competition!

  6. IPS 4.0 will have responsive layout and will be smartphone friendly.

    I think that a built in geolocation feature (GPS and IP) would be awesome as a search filter to find nearby community members (with other same interests filter on) or to find nearby products and services offered by the community.

    I run a fitness website and would be amazing to provide to the community member, for example, a list of nutritionists that are nearby or a list of members nearby that are looking for a training partner.

    Imagine the possibilities to the community exploring GPS geolocation on smartphones. Many cool things can be made with IP.Content, IP.Board, IP.Calendar and IP.Nexus using geolocation.

    I suggest that in the user table a field related to geolocation should be created and updated on every login with the member coordinates, and obvious, respecting the member's privacy choice.
