ok have submitted both a bug report and a ticket
that was over 72hrs ago
whats the time scale on support and replies etc
not trying to be a pain but would like some idea of just what support to expect here
gets a bit weary checking other sites when awaiting replies
thanks
am having problems with the profile feedback as well /?tab=node_feedback_Feedback all the feedback topics in the profile feedback tab are linking to the same one complete with teh same title is this one just me or anyone else getting this ?
also if you delete a feedback entry it wipes the % out eg 0 can you advise when the fix is coming out as editing the database each time by hand sounds like its going to a bit of a pain thanks
ouch are you serious ? that quote was one of the reasons why I paid $40 i have already paid you for work - i paid you for a full product not to wait around a couple of months when you go and do some other work the quote was a reason why i bought it refund policy ?
Hi great to see it released but ... .. any chance of a eta on the topic integration as that was the main way it was used by myself and so have to decide if worth putting it back up for info reasons only or wait till the proper release thanks mike
no offence taken, simple answer is the vnc format/layout is better suited imo for navigation/ease of use as the current speed of vnc makes it unusable for myself and maybe others then there might be a market for something that does a similar job and looks similar to vnc and also with the bonus of live stream - eg an alternative to vnc just a suggestions
suggestions for future version
inc report plugin - so if needed feedback can be reported
inc a direct link to leave feedback from the topic view feedback hook - so can avoid the need to copy and paste the url
resolved that then got the bad notify key error with just one member, was ok with others
seems its something to do with the members actual notification options set up
as once this member had resaved his notifications options it then worked ok
any chance of this getting resolved fully
had similar problem to others
not accepting any topic url
on looking appeared to be a problem with the _getTidFromUrl() call it returned 0
have replaced it with the one posted here and it seems to have resolved this http://community.inv...__gopid__100443
nope
I was getting the blank screen
then just visited the acp page and left the options as they already were (enabled) and just saved
this got rid of the blank screen and had limited success with inline notifications being sent
they were appearing in the inline notification table but not all columns are being filled
and maybe more importantly the member id seemed to be getting cut off
eg
member 1 - got inline notifications
member 6677 - did not as the member id was getting cut off to 6 in the inline notification table
a quick fix was to add this to view.php
$memberInfo = IPSMember::load( intval($userid) ); //added
$classToLoad = IPSLib::loadLibrary( IPS_ROOT_PATH . '/sources/classes/member/notifications.php', 'notifications' );
$notifyLibrary = new $classToLoad( $this->registry );
$notifyLibrary->setMember($memberInfo); //changed
now seems to be getting inline notifications ok for members with ids greater than 9 - but have not fully tested yet
hope helps
if talking optiopns
how about
adding as well as above
options to choose random or latest, number of images, which category images from (one, multi,or all)
exactly
I upgraded and found out after a lot of frustration that due to performance the new content feature was imo flawed and was faced with a "switch it off" or "try and self-fix"
same with the members post listing, the active topics listing, and what ever else uses the inbuilt search
what about performance issues ?
the built in search kills my server so I use sphinx instead
however to offer the "new content" feature (which as been said is a very popular feature) have had to come up with a dodgy work around
far from ideal and was expecting 3.01 to at least try and address this issue
will it ?
a sort of related suggestion for the future would be to tie in the performance mode with the server cut off option
ie automatically switches on performance mode when server load hits x
rather than wait or depend on third parties
couldnt ipb sort something along those lines out
get in a freelancer to knock something up
as its been said and have seen myself , for some it is a large % of current users
if there's going to be a ie6 skin reduced functionality with the final then that makes it less of a concern
can anyone fronm ipb confirm this, or point me to a fresher thread as most of the staff posts in this thread are from a few months ago
thanks
is there an offical ipb statement on this anywhere ?
have read past posts that there will be a ie6 skin with final, is that still the case ?
while can fully understand the arguments for dropping ie6
sure you can understand with my ie6 sessions at 20%, why it is a cause for concern
uk based non tech forum
just checked my ipb session table
20% using ie6
as daytime here - imagine that a high % of them are at workplaces and can't update
certainly a cause for concern
