The Old Man Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 If you ignore a member, you still see their content within the "Popular posts" and "Top posters in this topic" sections of the sidebar. Presumably, it's the same when set to "Under the first post". Â
Marc Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Could I just check this is not cached content you are seeing there? I
The Old Man Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 Hello Marc, Yes, definitely not cached content as far as I'm aware. I've also noticed that content from ignored members is showing in search results as well, so unsure if connected.
Solution Jim M Posted March 7, 2023 Solution Posted March 7, 2023 This is currently intended in our blocks system. Pretty much everyone receives the same block, to a degree, for performance reasons. Of course, if you would like to see this changed, you can submit a suggestion in our feature suggestion forum.
The Old Man Posted March 8, 2023 Author Posted March 8, 2023 (edited) I understand, thanks anyway. Search results aren’t cached for everybody though are they? Edited March 8, 2023 by The Old Man
Randy Calvert Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Search results are not cached. Â They should respect permissions. Â I just searched my site for an item found only in the admin forum but don't find it as a member. Â
Marc Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Search results would not take into account ignored members
The Old Man Posted March 8, 2023 Author Posted March 8, 2023 It also works correctly in Activity Streams 🙂 6 hours ago, Marc Stridgen said: Search results would not take into account ignored members Thanks, do you think it should? Â
Marc Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Its working as intended at present. If you would like to see them excluded from there also, please feel free to post that up as a suggestion The Old Man 1
