Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
hayleyflynnbcf@gmail.com Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 I hope this isn't a really silly question but we're planning to hire someone to update our site to the latest version of Invision (after coming across a lot of issues the last time we tried to do it) but I only really know how to update via the admin control panel. What would be the best/ most secure way of having someone else implement our update?
Marc Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 If you take a look at the following page, there are users who offer their services on here https://invisioncommunity.com/third-party/providers/ Â
teraßyte Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 (edited) What version are you upgrading from? Upgrades from old 2.x or 3.x especially are very, very troublesome. I just did one from 3.1.4 recently and it was indeed a mess. 😅 Edited August 1, 2022 by teraßyte SeNioR- 1

Only suggestion I would make is to keep on top of updates, the smaller jumps you have to make the easier the upgrade usually is 🙂 . Mark H 1
