I hope this isn't a really silly question but we're planning to hire someone to update our site to the latest version of Invision (after coming across a lot of issues the last time we tried to do it) but I only really know how to update via the admin control panel. What would be the best/ most secure way of having someone else implement our update?

If you take a look at the following page, there are users who offer their services on here

https://invisioncommunity.com/third-party/providers/

Thank you, I'm not sure how I missed that before!

What version are you upgrading from? Upgrades from old 2.x or 3.x especially are very, very troublesome. I just did one from 3.1.4 recently and it was indeed a mess. 😅

We're not quite that bad, we're on 4.2.9 😅

Ahead of some but sounds like you're heading in a good path here. Only suggestion I would make is to keep on top of updates, the smaller jumps you have to make the easier the upgrade usually is 🙂 .
