Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
AquilaTempestas Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Just as the title says. I changed domain name and now it keeps trying to load the old domain. How do I fix this?
AquilaTempestas Posted May 29, 2022 Author Posted May 29, 2022 Additional information: My old domain name was theartistszone.com. I want to change it to designyouruniverse.net
teraßyte Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Have you updated the address in your conf_global.php file? optrexnz 1

Marc Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 That doesnt seem to be coming from our software. You would need to contact your hosting company to confirm the setup of your domain there
Randy Calvert Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Try clearing your browser cache. I see the message: The Artist's Zone is currently unavailable The Artist's Zone is currently down for maintenance for an unknown period of time. Hopefully, aiming to be up and running by June if all goes well (maybe earlier - fingers crossed). Please join the Discord server for updates! ~AquilaTempestas

Randy Calvert Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Ahhh I’m going by the screenshot. I can’t see the other URL. 🙂
Marc Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 I notice you are still pointing to the old domain at present. Did you decide against the change there @AquilaTempestas ?

Did you decide against the change there @AquilaTempestas ? Hi, I'm back. I gave up for awhile, but I'm trying again. I've asked my host site to transfer to the new domain name. They said it is done. However, when I click on the new link https://designyouruniverse.net/ nothing shows. It redirects to the old link.
Solution Randy Calvert Posted June 30, 2022 Solution Posted June 30, 2022 When I try to access the link, I get an invalid SSL certificate. It’s trying to say it’s really: cdn-edge-us-central1-l0f4.cdn.siteground.net After ignoring that warning, I see it trying to load the old domain. After you had your host switch the domain, did you edit your conf_global.php to provide the new one? Afterwards did you rebuild your system cache in the ACP?

Yes, the config file has the new domain URL. I can't log into my website because it keeps trying to reload the old one still.

The problem I have now is that I can't log in with my username and password. Edited June 30, 2022 by AquilaTempestas
