Nathan Explosion
Post the html content of the post - they may have figured out an easy way around the feature (one that doesn't involve an obvious change to one character like adding bold, italic or something else to a single letter in the string)
Marc
Please could you provide a link to that item? We can then take a look for you.
Nathan Explosion
Yep, figured out a way to do it without a visible character too. My filter is set to block 'this' I suspect that they've figured something out, and have created HTML that contains the trick, and that they are then copying the resulting text of the HTML into a post. Sonya*
@media this is an example: tadalafil tаdalafil The words look identical, but technically, they are not. I have replaced the first "a" character in the second word with the Russian letter "a". It looks the same, but this cannot be caught by the filter, as technically the second one is another word. There are even three "a"s in the word. Think of the number of combinations. And there are other languages out there, that have letters that look identical to the Latin characters, but they are not. EDIT: you can open this URL to see that the first "a" in the second word is not the same https://fonts.google.com/?preview.text=tadalafil tаdalafil&preview.text_type=custom Edited March 30, 2022 by Sonya*
Marc
Indeed, if people are adding alternative characters to bypass this, you would need to add those also. Unfortunately as they are valid characters and not the ones you are blocking.
