virap Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Are there any settings controlling how often and who sees the prompt about installing the mobiles app? Thanks.
Solution Randy Calvert Posted March 5, 2022 Solution Posted March 5, 2022 In the next version (currently in beta), references to the native app are actually removed. There are not any settings to prompt about the PWA. You would need some sort of plugin for that.
virap Posted March 5, 2022 Author Posted March 5, 2022 Thank you. can we at least turn it off and on?

virap Posted March 5, 2022 Author Posted March 5, 2022 Sure, I see the same thing happening here at invisioncommunity.com, please see the screenshot attached.
Nathan Explosion Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 The prompt is up to the browser, not the site. The site makes the manifest available, the browser responds. Jim M and Randy Calvert 1 1
virap Posted March 5, 2022 Author Posted March 5, 2022 (edited) Thank you. The question was about possible ways to control that on my end as to how often that happens and who sees that. Also, if that can't be done is there a way for the end user to permanently dismiss it? Edited March 5, 2022 by virap

The only way would be to remove the web manifest settings from your theme in ACP -> Customization -> Icons & Logos. This is something which the browser is performing rather than the software so you are limited what you can do the software itself.
