Ricsca Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 I reopened my old forum after 5 years it was done with vbulletin and I migrated to ipb. Now I have to contact my nearly 55k of users to let them know that the forum has reopened. How can I do?
DawPi Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Enter "mass" in the ACP search bar and you will find the option to send mass mailing to them.
Ricsca Posted February 19, 2022 Author Posted February 19, 2022 However, a fundamental function is missing ... that is to decide how many emails to send every hour and every day so as not to crash the server ... How can I do? Thank you
DSystem Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 I also had a similar problem when I migrated from SMF to IPB In addition to the simple machines forum having stopped in time, its email system much better than the IPB

I am curious to know in what way it is much better than Ipb 's.

With SMF it is possible to determine the number of emails transmitted per hour and it is still possible to adjust this according to the type of notification.
Marc Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 The answer to the question there is that there isnt really any way of slowing these down. You would need to ensure you have an email system which is capable of sending the amount of email you are looking to produce there
