I reopened my old forum after 5 years it was done with vbulletin and I migrated to ipb.
Now I have to contact my nearly 55k of users to let them know that the forum has reopened.
How can I do?

However, a fundamental function is missing ... that is to decide how many emails to send every hour and every day so as not to crash the server ...

How can I do?

Thank you

I also had a similar problem when I migrated from SMF to IPB

In addition to the simple machines forum having stopped in time, its email system much better than the IPB

Really? I am curious to know in what way it is much better than Ipb 's.

Mesmo? Estou curioso para saber em que sentido é muito melhor do que o do Ipb.

With SMF it is possible to determine the number of emails transmitted per hour and it is still possible to adjust this according to the type of notification.

The answer to the question there is that there isnt really any way of slowing these down. You would need to ensure you have an email system which is capable of sending the amount of email you are looking to produce there
