Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
dutchsnowden Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 So I do receive emails that look like this. Perfect! But other users send me images that their email has no footer at all. No unfollow, no notification preferences. How is this possible? No preferences above the forum contact address on the bottom. The users are calling me out for not being able to adjust settings or unfollow and not sure how to correct this.
dutchsnowden Posted January 7, 2022 Author Posted January 7, 2022 Ohh... The private message notifications do not include footer with unfollow (logic!) but neither notification settings which would be useful when talking to google spam engineers. Is it possible to make it work to ALL emails from the board?
Jim M Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Personal message email notifications will include a line asking if you prefer to stop receiving these emails and to adjust your notification preferences. You, of course, would need to allow users to be able to adjust these notifications for it show in ACP -> Members -> Notifications.
dutchsnowden Posted January 7, 2022 Author Posted January 7, 2022 That is most definitely not true, no such link in email in my IPB. How do I make it. What setting do I need to check to enable the link in PM emails? Normal follow email notifications do include such links at the bottom of the email. I would expect that ALL emails include such a link. On my board absolutely NO links are included on PM email notifications.
Jim M Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Have you modified any email templates? If so, please revert them. Otherwise, please add an example user who is seeing this and please add your admin credentials on file in the Client Area and I can take a look. dutchsnowden 1

Calendar link events do NOT contain the link either. 4 hours ago, Jim M said: [...] Otherwise, please add an example user who is seeing this and please add your admin credentials on file in the Client Area and I can take a look. All users I asked. Calendar and PM emails have no link. No template changed by me. I will add credentials to the file and get back to you.
dutchsnowden Posted January 7, 2022 Author Posted January 7, 2022 I have added Admin CP access to the file. Please let me know what else do you need.
Randy Calvert Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 The footer on the private message notifications is as follows, even for this site. Click here to view our privacy policy Invision Community, 901 Jefferson St STE 207, Lynchburg, Virginia, 24504 There is not a link to change subscription settings on the private message template. In the emails that trigger from Commerce, it does have a link. Prefer to stop receiving these emails? Manage Notification Settings. Click here to view our privacy policy >>PHYSICAL ADDRESS HERE<<
dutchsnowden Posted January 8, 2022 Author Posted January 8, 2022 Everything should have the link to the "manage notification settings" right?
Solution Marc Posted January 10, 2022 Solution Posted January 10, 2022 Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release. dutchsnowden and SeNioR- 1 1
Marc Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 The link there should indeed be present on those emails. Please let us know if you are not seeing them on the latest release
dutchsnowden Posted February 10, 2022 Author Posted February 10, 2022 No, it is not working when PM notifications are received. it behaves exactly as in 4.6.9 It does not work for topic approval notifications either, while this is not a real problem in my case as I do not have that many administrators or moderators.
