Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Woodsman Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 OK I new that phrase would get some attention. But... I believe this is a bug. No matter what topic I go to the members viewing line shows this statement rather than the actual members. Quote Recently Browsing 0 members
Marc Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 These blocks are cached, which is likely why you are seeing that. Are you referring to on here?
Woodsman Posted October 11, 2021 Author Posted October 11, 2021 Yes.... at this point there is 1 member showing @Alexandr.P I am not there I guess I am no longer a client though it shows under my photo...
Woodsman Posted October 11, 2021 Author Posted October 11, 2021 OK this is not a bug but an Edge issue I guess the third was the charm.
Jim M Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 6 minutes ago, Woodsman said: OK this is not a bug but an Edge issue I guess the third was the charm. So you're still seeing this in Edge? Just trying to understand what is happening here.
Woodsman Posted October 11, 2021 Author Posted October 11, 2021 Yes, for the last 3 days actually and every time I dumped the cache & Cookies nothing happened everything stayed the same. I dumped it all again a few minutes ago and everything appears to be back on track.
Jim M Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 Thanks for reporting this! I too am seeing this in Edge so I did report this to our developers so they can further investigate what is happening here specifically with Edge Vs Chrome and other browsers. We will investigate the issue and if a fix is required, one will be made in a future maintenance release. Thanks again!
Woodsman Posted October 12, 2021 Author Posted October 12, 2021 Ok now this shouldn't be. There is still an issue going on with Edge where it comes to this site. It seems I have to clear my cache on a daily basis if I want to see (view) the community in Edge only so far. I haven't noticed this in Firefox as of yet either. As for Chrome for personal I don't use it and avoid Google products.
Woodsman Posted October 12, 2021 Author Posted October 12, 2021 BTW I am presently seeing this glitch right now.
Jim M Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Could you please elaborate on your issue(s) that you're seeing in Edge? The original issue in this topic has not been resolved yet here just to keep in mind 🙂 .
Woodsman Posted October 12, 2021 Author Posted October 12, 2021 (edited) Thanks @Jim M but unfortunatly I am seeing this in Firefox developers edition as well.... On my local Wamp testboard version 4.6.6 and 4.6.7 along with Edge. 🤐 An additional note.... In Firefox developers edion the "Recently Browsing 1 member" seems to be working properly. Edited October 12, 2021 by Woodsman An additional note....
Jim M Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 This issue is not specific to Edge so you may be seeing it in other browsers.
Marc Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 As mentioned, it is something we are aware of, and will be resolved
Solution Marc Posted November 3, 2021 Solution Posted November 3, 2021 This has been resolved in the latest 4.6.8 release. Please upgrade to get the latest release, and let us know if you see any further issues.
