Gabriel Torres Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Hi, I am having an issue with Google Authenticator. Started two days ago. It always worked great, but now it says I am entering an invalid code and locks me out of the ACP. It is also happening with the other administrators. I tried re-syncing the app's clock (Time Correction) and it worked, but today it is giving the same problem. Is there anyone else here facing the same issue? Maybe it is a connection issue between our server and Google's server? I have no idea on how to debug this. Thank you in advance, Gabriel.
Loren Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 I have not had any problems at all in the last month.
Stuart Silvester Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 You may want to check your server time, if you can log into the admincp the support section (select something isn't working) will check this for you and tell you if there are any issues.
Gabriel Torres Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 Thanks @Stuart Silvester I have a cronjob running once a day synchronizing the server clock: /usr/sbin/ntpdate br.pool.ntp.org I was able to login in and the support tool says there is a new patch regarding 2FA. Will upgrade and see if this solves the issue! 🙂
Gabriel Torres Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 Nope, the patch didn't fix the issue.
jair101 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 I had the same happen to me yesterday. I was sure I was entering the correct code, but still got locked out for 10 minutes due to 3 failed attempts. After my ban expired, I was able to login successfully. I'll keep an eye on this topic.
Gabriel Torres Posted September 2, 2019 Author Posted September 2, 2019 @jair101 It is working fine again for the past couple of days... Will keep an eye on this...
