bbisbee
I remember once upon a time, IPB would let you change the default behavior the "delete" Post/Topic button from removing the topic or post to have it move it to a "trash" area. Is this still possible in 4.4.x? I hope that made sense. Thanks, Brian
Rhett
The "trash can"was removed over 5 years ago, you can setup a hidden forum, call it "trash can" and move items in that rather than delete them if you would like.
Daniel F
You can also enable delayed deleting ( ACP => Posting => Permanently delete content ) which is kind of like a trash area in your ModCP. All deleted content will be placed there for X days before it gets finally deleted.

Tips like this are great - the ACP should have an interactive help system where tips like this appear on relevant pages to assist Admins with configuring their forums the best way possible.
