Few things I need help on please, I cannot figure it out

1. I want to add like "newest members, most members online, 1,000 posts, etc on the bottom of my forum how do I do that?
2. I want to add sidebar items like latest posts, etc. Where do I get that 'hook?' from?

Im logged into an ADMIN and I do not see the sidebar thing that sticks out from the side., using HAZE theme.

I'm on an Imac FireFox

Went back to defaulted theme, still nothing. Checked on PC nothing.

There has to be another way to do this if there is a bug. (which must be one...)

Adding Blocks

Adding blocks to your pages is a simple process. When logged in as a member of staff with the moderator permission "Can use sidebar", you will see a tab sticking out from the left of the site.
