iJeff Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 Google login isn't working, it's throwing error, 'something went wrong, please try later' I am guessing they updated their name scope and IPB is falling behind... i tested on discourse it's working right. do you use Google login? any solution to it? or should we wait for an update from IPB or anything else? I opened a ticket but it's weekend.
AndyF Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 Is there nothing in the logs to provide a bit more information on this ? 🙂
dacho Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 I am also getting the same "something went wrong" message, no matter how many times I check to make sure it is set up correctly. Google don't seem to be able to help. Very annoying. Did you solve this iJeff and any words of wisdom? Thanks
Chris Anderson Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 You might check out the guide I posted above to see if it addressees the problems you are experiencing.
dacho Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 I did actually see that guide Mark and I used it to set up things -- thank you for that help. Unfortunately, it didn't help with this issue on google. BUT, I seem to have found a solution! I looked at error logs and it said something about enabling google+ api. So I tried doing that. Once I did that, the problem seemed to go away and I login was ok! :) So if you haven't fixed this up yet, try that iJeff. Thanks
bfarber Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 The Google+ API is deprecated and being removed, so the Google login integration has been updated for 4.4.
