Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
cofee_iv Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 This technical stuff is above my head. Could someone tell me what I need to do to fix this? This is the error I receive when trying to log in using FB Quote Insecure Login Blocked: You can't get an access token or log in to this app from an insecure page. Try re-loading the page as https:// Further, I used to be able to share a post to Facebook, but can no longer. Does anyone know why? Are these issues one in the same? For that matter, it appears Twitter login doesn't work, either.
opentype Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Is your page using SSL? Facebook and Twitter have increased their security measured drastically over the last months. You should have an SSL page to begin with and then go through the setup process of the social network connections again. There were several changes over the last months, e.g. required callback URLs. The ACP pages should lead you to instructions when you make those changes.
Mark H Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Opentype is correct, using https:// is a requirement for using those login methods now. I just did a quick lookup on your site and see that it still using http:// You can ask your Host to install an SSL certificate, then change your URL to use https rather than http. Please see this Guide we prepared for doing this: NOTE: Once you've made the change, if you still get a license key error, please open a ticket to support so we can investigate.

cofee_iv Posted April 10, 2019 Author Posted April 10, 2019 Okay. I managed to get the Facebook login working fine, but as I was playing with the Twitter login, it is requiring me to complete a new profile. This is actually the same/similar issue I was having logging in to this very forum. Any ideas? I even disabled the Twitter login, but still have the issue. Now I can't even login to my own forum. LOL
cofee_iv Posted April 11, 2019 Author Posted April 11, 2019 I finally filled out the form to be a new member, then signed out. At THAT point, I could login to my own forum. This might be a glitch?

Do you try to link an account from your account setting? Or are you logged out and using the Sing up with Twitter function? The latter will indeed create a new account if it can’t match the data with your existing account. That would be intentional.
