Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
DReffects2 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 I've seen an option to upload a specific image to be used as og:image for facebook in the Theme Settings. Unfortunately this does not work well with news articles I'd like to share on facebook since every article has the very same og:image. Is there a way around this? Thanks
opentype Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Activate the stock Record Image field and upload an image. It will be set as og:image.
KentT Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 On a related issue. I've found v4.2 to be much better in picking a better image from Pages, Gallery, etc. to use on a FB share. But, mine still does not use an image from a forum topic in the share. This was widely discussed in v4.1 with no clear work around. Did v4.2 do anything to improve that?

bfarber Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 AdminCP > Pages > Fields (underneath the Database in question). At the bottom of the page you can enable the "Record Image" field.
