Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Square Wheels Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 I just installed a new license. For my other site, I can view the edit history in a post. Please remind me where I turn this on. Thanks
AndyF Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 ACP > System > Settings > Posting > Scroll down a bit on the 'General' tab to the 'Edit Log' settings and adjust as required. Although obvious would be worth checking each group settings regarding its ability to edit/not edit content and/or any time restriction on that too. As its a new installation I'd guess this is a moot point as you're going to be going through these anyway but I think its worth including in the reply for anyone who finds this via a search in the future looking for the edit log settings perhaps.
Cyboman Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Turning on the edit log settings, is there any "restore" functionality to f.e. restore a former version of a post? I know that there is such a function for database records. But for regular forum posts? Many new members just delete contents inside their thread starting posts but they shouldn't. They may not delete or hide posts, so they just edit their posts and delete the text via edit...

The only thing you can do is to edit their post.(You can see the original content)
