chris tucker Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I have IPB version 4.0.8.1, and have been having all kinds of problems with it. The text below is from my server company We would like to begin by informing you that we have now resolved your experienced issue and your website is now loading with no further difficulties. Additionally, we found that the issue is caused by a backend PHP fatal errorthat your database generates periodically, more information can be found in the following error log: [Sun Sep 03 11:10:18.408405 2017] [lsapi:error] [pid 10840:tid 140555061282560] [client 40.77.167.134:43840] [host roofcleaninginstitute.org] Backend fatal error: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'IPS\\Db\\Exception' with message 'Prepared statement needs to be re-prepared' in /home/roofclea/public_html/system/Db/Db.php:389\nStack trace:\n#0 /home/roofclea/public_html/system/Db/Db.php(622): IPS\\_Db->preparedQuery('REPLACE INTO `c...', Array)\n#1 /home/roofclea/public_html/system/Session/Front.php(274): IPS\\_Db->replace('core_sessions', Array, true)\n#2 [internal function]: IPS\\Session\\_Front->write('s91r5sbhqhiuprb...', '')\n#3 {main}\n thrown in /home/roofclea/public_html/system/Db/Db.php on line 389\n We ran a Database repair in order to resolve this, however, we would advise you to contact the script vendor and report the issue as they may be able to provide more assistence with the issue. AndyF Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 In most cases just the renew fee. If you're not sure there is absolutely no harm in either taking a look in the Client Area and / or submitting a request to see how much it will be to get you up to date.

Holy Sheet, that is gonna be 210.00 a year, 110.00 for 6 months. I was told when I bought this product it would be good forever. So, is this what Invision does, force you to pay, or your Forum quits working ? Facebook has KILLED us, I can't afford to renew. I can afford 110.00 for 6 months, but no way can I keep forking out 110.00 every 6 months. And WHY do I need to renew, I never did before
AndyF Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 If you're self hosted (you are I'm sure) then no it won't stop working but you lose access to support tickets, new version downloads and various other benefits. I'd suggest asking in a ticket in the Client Area about the renew price as depending on when you were last 'active' as such with it, the structure has changed a bit over the years so it is well worth checking what would be due.

Thanks Joel, we do use our Blogs, very popular with the few members we have left. Calendar, I never use. IF my forum stopped working because I did not renew, then what is to stop it from doing it again, if I don't pay. I was told if I was self hosted, it would work forever, and now it has stopped.

I would speculate the issue is possibly server side (host has upgraded php or mysql) which may be the cause of the problem, rather than a software issue unless its a third party addon.

AndyF Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 That's typically caused by mySQL. What version are you using ? Use php info in your control panel or ask your host if you're not sure. As an alternative you can use the requirements check here to determine the compatibility of your server with IPS4

As an alternative you can use the requirements check here to determine the compatibility of your server with IPS4 This is the response from my server company I just got Andy. Hello,Thank you for the update. We have reviewed this and once again the issue you were experiencing was tied to the following error message, which periodically appears once you say that your forum is down:[lsapi:error] [pid 10840:tid 140555061282560] [client 40.77.167.134:43840] [host roofcleaninginstitute.org] Backend fatal error: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'IPS\\Db\\Exception' with message 'Prepared statement needs to be re-prepared' in /home/roofclea/public_html/system/Db/Db.php:389\nStack trace:\n#0 /home/roofclea/public_html/system/Db/Db.php(622): IPS\\_Db->preparedQuery('REPLACE INTO `c...', Array)\n#1 /home/roofclea/public_html/system/Session/Front.php(274): IPS\\_Db->replace('core_sessions', Array, true)\n#2 [internal function]: IPS\\Session\\_Front->write('s91r5sbhqhiuprb...', '')\n#3 {main}\n thrown in /home/roofclea/public_html/system/Db/Db.php on line 389\nWe did not configure anything this time and the issue resolved on its own, which means that a certain database query triggered within your website is causing it to malfunction for a certain period. As my colleagues previously explained, we have reconfigured everything we could on our side in order to attempt to resolve this for you, however, without any success. Therefore, contacting an experienced developer or a database specialist might be the most optimal decision in this case. However, we are leaving this ticket's status to ACR (Awaiting Client's Response) so you can update us with any insights on the situation so we can act if it is anything we can do on our side.We will be looking forward to your reply.Kind Regards,William KaneGenius Support TeamTMDHosting.com

Once payment has been authorised then you'll have access. You're showing as 'member' currently not 'client' can you try logging out and back in again please ? That can sometimes resync your permissions.

"Welcome back" Hopefully you will not have to wait too long for your ticket reply to the concern. A support tech will be able to tell you what/why and you can work from that as required if necessary. As an alternative now you're an active client you may wish to ask (peer to peer) in the Tech Support forum for the immediate moment, its possible someone may have a few immediate thoughts to assist.
chris tucker Posted September 5, 2017 Author Posted September 5, 2017 Naw, I will wait for the Invision Support people Andy
