I banned a spammer recently, but he joined several clubs. It's kinda goofy that IPS didn't add this in already - when a member is permanently banned, remove him from all clubs. I can do it in the database directly, I'm sure, but… that can be a pain of course if it's a frequent thing. Well, that's what I can do: - A link to ADMINS only to ban members: - Then a page where banned members from clubs will be listed + a text box to ban a member from there: - and then the error message when trying to access any Club page, including its content items (topics, files, images, etc.). But I won't go further on this because it will a pain to extend a LOT of places, like search, activity streams, etc. So it will keep appearing to the user, but he won't have access if click on it. Adriano Faria Posted September 4, 2017 Author Posted September 4, 2017 Another new feature for the next version: convert from club feature to forum/category: Missing JS for the checkboxes! Only Admins will be able to use it. InsideEdge 1

This really isn't a nice feature to have due to resources usage. Thanks for your reply. Is it possible to allow club owners/or site admins to customize which club feature is the default when members click in the club (instead of the Home tab)? It would be easier for club members to see new posts and threads if I was able to make the Topics feature the default. We use the clubs like sub-forums on our site. Adriano Faria Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 No. Home or Activity streams (actually the default one) are "fixed" tabs and aren't available in the table to be reordered. Platinum Threads 1
Aivarass Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Club owners/admins can't send global messages to their club members... How can I enable this ?
Adriano Faria Posted September 14, 2017 Author Posted September 14, 2017 I'm not sure what "global message" is.

Adriano Faria Posted September 14, 2017 Author Posted September 14, 2017 I didn't allow it for owner because it can become a spam thingy but I can add a new setting in next version, so admin decide what's best to their boards. Aivarass 1

Since a club is some sort of user group, I think a member of a given club should be granted an option to communicate club-mates, regardless of a club function (admin, club owner or just a regular user). Spam can always be achieved using a direct indication of users, don't you think? I would be a big fan of having an option of club-pm being available for every member of given club. Just give a parameter for that and everyone's happy.

I won't that. I'll add an option for Club owner, that's all. I won't blow up everyone else's server with dozens, hundreds, thousands (?) of email notification of a new PM!
jmw253 Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Question: Would it be possible to intercept a member requesting access to a club and prompt for a request reason? IE: I want to join this club because blah blah blah.... and that reason would be displayed for the moderator of the club for approval. Maybe some basic field customization. Chris Anderson 1

Lindsay Snow Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Thank you Adriano - the Home page and add members are just what I needed. I was hoping to add a database to the home page but that doesn't seem to be an option (only WYSIWYG and Custom Blocks are available to add). Is this an IPS limitation or something that could be added? If it can't be changed, would it be possible to create an extra tab in the menu that could be a customisable hyperlink to an external page (That way, I could just link to the database outside of Club)? Thank you!

I've had a play with custom field and don't think it's what I mean (or could have missed a final step?). I was hoping to add a customisable tab to the club header (as for example, memory map comes up as an extra tab)
Adriano Faria Posted September 22, 2017 Author Posted September 22, 2017 You said you want an extra tab to add a link, then you can add an URL custom field or add your link in the home page. Sorry, I don't see any need for a new tab just to a link.
Lindsay Snow Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 It seems I've wasted your time as I've just read dean84's post that suggests that it's not possible. Thanks again.
Chris027 Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Is it possible to remove the Members tab? If not, is it possible to move it to the end of the tabs?
Adriano Faria Posted September 24, 2017 Author Posted September 24, 2017 You can probably hide it in your install by using a CSS trick in custom.css.
rookiegirl Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 I just bought this plug in but my dropdown does not show according to screenshots? Only 'edit settings' shows up on the drop down.

Send a PM with credentials so I can take a look.
rookiegirl Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 No, maybe because it needs to be approved? Where can I approve the club and I will see if that works first. Thanks!
