IPS supports embeded content from many third party websites, but does not support embeds from third party IPS Communities. It would be nice this feature to provide better interaction between different IPS communities.

I had to search because I wanted to post this exact request and believed it HAD to have been posted before  

I cross post between IPS sites frequently and it always surprises (disappoints) me that linksfor so many social sites embed and internal links embed but IPS-IPS links do not. 

I don't know how embeds really work under the hood so I'm sure there's a reason. 

In my use cases I wouldn't mind if some configuration or setting setups were needed to recognize or preconfigure target site base URLs.

Plugin?

I agree that this would be a great feature. I also would like to see embeds for categories in forums, downloads, gallery, etc.
