Why is " index.php? " in URL on one site, but not another?

I just can't see that I have done anything different between these two sites.

This is a site that was upgraded from 3 to 4.

I turned the old article db into an archive page, and created a fresh new articles db to start over.

Am I just missing a setting or is it something to do with the upgrade?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

bah..... I think it's that htaccess file thing.

So.... I guess the question really is... on the new Client Area panel, where do they hide FTP info?

For the cloud service before, it was accessible in the client area under that purchase.

Mysterious.

FTP is not longer a cloud thing, in case anyone was wondering.

The htaccess file is supposed to be included, but perhaps it didn't make it onto this site for some reason as part of the upgrade from 3.

System > Site Promotion > Search Engine Optimization > Friendly URLs > set "rewrite URLs to on" and follow the instructions.
