Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted December 19, 20168 yr There should be a setting which allows administrators to limit the number of files a member can upload at one time. Members go to submit a file > select category > then members are prompted to Drag and drop your files here, or Choose Files. It is at this point some members are uploading hundreds of files. It seems like there should be a way to limit the number of files a member can upload. The file size can be limited but the number of files can't.
December 20, 20168 yr You can limit the storage space per item of content per group in ACP -> Members -> Groups -> edit group -> Content tab.
December 20, 20168 yr Author Yes it is possible to limit the size but I need to limit the number. I sent a support ticket asking how to limit the number of items uploaded at once. They said there is no way to limit the number of items and I should post a request here. Hopefully this can be built into the next release.
December 22, 20168 yr +1. I have this problem too! Users do not understand or are not accustomed to, and several times are upload the same file! It would be nice to check for uniqueness and if such file is already loaded, then display a warning, "You have already upload this file!"
