Hello guys, so today i reinstalled IPB 4

And just changed DB to my backup (in conf_global )

Now i load the page and no CSS    see www.china-devices.com

but when you go to www.china-devices.com/admin/upgrade there is css !!

What is the problem? permissions ? im running it on plesk on my dedicated and even made a new webspace :S

The funny thing is, on ipb 3 css was working. i just upgraded and it was working too. i changed db and reuploaded config adn boom css gone :((

even moved to my second webspace domain : www.china-devices.org   same problem. what the hell is that

appears your website is forbidden (403) as tells me 'You do not have permission to access this document'

was your database backup created with ipb 4 ??

 

Hello, i just wiped everything to start all over  Will try it a last time again.

 

actually its like this, im coming from mybb

1) I install 3.4.7

2) i migrate mybb DB to ipb

3) update to iPB 4 now.

but after i did it, css was gone too

​Questions 1- Default theme or are you trying to bring over the 3.4.7- If so theme have to be rebuilt for V4

                  2- If V4 Default  open ACP and Turn on Designer Mode, then resync theme back to DB usually fixes.

​so if was working when you upgraded to ipb 4 then it is something you are doing after that it doesn't like

Why did you change the database as upgrading also upgrades the database so by using a different database then may find there are parts missing in that ??

i tried to change db because the converter also sometimes doesnt work

it just gets stuck at member conversion and gives me a 500 error. sometimes it works sometimes not, its strange. thanks for the suggestions i will try it now.

i also dont understand why it doesnt create my admin account.

I install 3.4.7 on a fresh webspace and then it try to login as admin and there is no account. also first post made by blank name

 

but db is working

Hi there, everything fixed. was an issue with global_conf . thanks for your help, the designer mode suggestion also fixed my theme problems
