Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
John 3:16 Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 I am trying to add a hidden field into the profile fields but not sure where to look, not that I have not been but I cannot find where to add the field type in.https://www.dropbox.com/s/kpc5dx8qv4o2rca/Screenshot 2015-03-14 03.13.32.png?dl=0
John 3:16 Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 So no way to have a hidden field option in custom fields?
esquire Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Might it be here? Not where you'd expect to find it but understand why it is there: PermissionsAllow member to see and edit?
John 3:16 Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 I looked into that, good idea but it does not show up as a hidden field. I figured I could hack the db or a file to add hidden to the mix but I have no clue where IPS has it hiding.
esquire Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I was able to use it to create a "internal rating" field to allow admins to rate users based upon their guesses experience level. It didn't show up on the front end but it did show up on the back end where admins can edit and view. Hopefully there will eventually be an ability for admins to view hidden profile fields on the front end or make it easier to see profile fields on the back end. What are you trying to do?
John 3:16 Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 Thanks esquire. Pass through a field from a landing page form.
