Posted November 26, 201410 yr What's the easiest way to do a clean upgrade of your site? As in bring all photos etc... But not the 3rd party 3.4.7 apps?
November 26, 201410 yr I would have thought removing everything but the upload folder and global_conf.php and then uploading IPS4.Probably worth testing though... Before you do it for real.
November 26, 201410 yr Yes delete everything but uploads and config_global.php file this is how you are required to upgrade I do beleave
November 26, 201410 yr What about the folder with the smileys? It is needed if you have custom smileys? Edited November 26, 201410 yr by Machsterdaemon
November 26, 201410 yr As far as I know you don't need the public dir seeing as it is a completely new system

Before you do it for real.Don't do THAT!!!You can only delete the Public folder after the upgrade. So delete everything minus Uploads, Public and conf_global.php.Upload IPS4 and Upgrade. Then you can delete the Public folder.

November 27, 201410 yr Author Ok, I think I am going to make a copy of my forum folder first and then remove the unwanted folders before upgrading. I would actually prefer to set up my smilies again so losing them wouldn't be an issue for me.
