Right now, you have two options. You can select all or individually pick forums you want to monitor. This is a problem on forums with a large number of categories. I personally could not find an easy way to select all forums and exclude 1/2/3 sections. An option to select all and then exclude individual forums would be nice. Thanks.

This is already technically possible, as you can just pass in the appropriate request params to accomplish the filtering. The interface may not directly/easily provide you the URL, however.

I suppose. IPB does not generate a URL that you can just copy and paste in another browser session :)
