No errors, just a blank page.

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

So I'm moving to a new server and i'm in the middle of moving an IPB site over, howerver some areas such as trying to view a members profile or database diagnostics result in a blank page with no error. I'm assuming this has to be something with my server configuration so I thought I'd see if you could help me.

There is nothing showing up in the error_log / suphp log

Bearing in mind i've only had a day and half to set this up and I was planning on optimizing it late (We need to get off our current server so we can cancel it).

httpd.conf -> http://pastebin.com/ywZR43aX

modules.conf -> http://pastebin.com/vGRHDRVB

suphp.conf -> http://pastebin.com/s9RiPhL4

I should also note that it does pass the check on the ipb installer AND that setting php to display errors and error reporting to E_ALL yeilds nothing.

Any ideas?

If you would like me to investigate the issue for you personally, you're welcome to send me a private message.

Otherwise, I'd enable error reporting directly in your php.ini configuration if you haven't already and see if that produces any results.

can you get a phpinfo?

Yes I can. It's not everything displaying white a page just user profiles as far as I'm aware.

Already tried php.ini displaying errors still nothing. Sending a PM now :smile:

this wasn't a copy of existing folders over from another server was it?

may be chown issues on the folders.

I did chown -R the user folder and when I was doing anything there I'd be in the user it's self

Please wait while I bash my head against a table...

Ioncube wasn't installed. Yep that was it, and there wasn't even an error saying ioncube wasn't installed/enabled on the server. Thanks for the help though :)

ahh the store (tied to member info) is why it only did it on some pages.

good to know.

Actually if it was nexus it would be the entire site. (and last time that happened to me it did show a error)

I had the Arcade installed which is ioncube encoded, although I am going to be removing that now since i've been meaning to for some time.

I had issues after upgrading php and ioncube last week (I used wrong version) so parts of site worked while other parts didn't.

didn't make the ioncube connection here though and I also had error showing on the areas that were bad. took me a few to even see there was an error.
