Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
When Genius Prevailed Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Hello, I would like to request an "Linkedin Connect" component to supplement the current Facebook and Twitter social media connectivity features within the IP. product suite. Why? I believe that this can benefit various communities, especially professional oriented communities. Note that as of 22 March 2011 Linkedin surpassed 100M users (Source: http://blog.linkedin...in-100-million/) and has a different demographic compared to Facebook and Twitter. Therefore I hope that you will consider adding this social media network to the the IPS software infrastructure. Kind Regards, Cogito ergo sum.
ørret Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Great idea, especially for educational, scientific forums and so on. I would really love this.
svit Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I would strongly support this idea. It would offer my community (architects) very strong and usefull tool and the product would gain a few extra points against the competitors.
Katsuma Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 We could definately use this as Job Recruiters on Linkedin.com are registered to post jobs and other offers in our community.
When Genius Prevailed Posted July 23, 2011 Author Posted July 23, 2011 Thank you for your guys input. Furthermore, I believe that there is a bigger demand for this feature than is currently being indicated in this topic therefore I decided to 'bump' this topic.
Chetan105 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Thank you for your guys input. Furthermore, I believe that there is a bigger demand for this feature than is currently being indicated in this topic therefore I decided to 'bump' this topic.Bump up again agree with you !
Mat Barrie Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 So, when will this be added? Surely you've been registered here long enough to know that you'll not get an answer to this question?
Chetan105 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 They seem to have released an API for this http://developer.linkedin.com/documents/sign-linkedin
claustrier Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 +1 for this feature, i could really use this as well.....asap ;-)
When Genius Prevailed Posted October 8, 2011 Author Posted October 8, 2011 Nice find Chetan, I hope that IPS sees the same potential as we board administrators see in this feature.
connorhawke Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I agree. Let the two become three. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn would be a perfect harmony. That's my poem.
svit Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Many sites are having the LinkedIn plugin - once added to IPB, it would be a great selling point to admins who are thinking of purchasing the package for their sites. Not mentioning us who have been waiting for this feature for a loong time :)
